I'm also surprised by the negative comment! I had a voucher and explained that I couldn't pay much more. The staff were most friendly and very helpful. I found the staff snooty and disinterested. The products were unbelievably overpriced and the range not very good. I wasn't exactly dressed well (a bit flustered/ just finished work) but I was not made to feel welcome at all. I won't go back.

A definite MUST to visit! The staff are really friendly, informative and not at all intimidating. There is lots to see and everything is all so beautiful and miles away from the seedy sex stores in Soho. Lots of books too, and you are encouraged to sit down for a quiet read. The lingerie is scrumptious and there are loads of gift ideas for crimbo ( take note men!). This is the poshest sex shop in the UK no doubt! Oh and check out the 'peep room' - lots of fun!

As an averagely sexually obsessed young man, I've longed for a shop in which to purchase sex toys without feeling like a sad old anorak when I leave. Coco de Mer has relieved that longing.

It's not a huge shop, and if you're after 12 inch swivelling multi-headed plastic devices, you should try the regular sex shops in Soho. Coco de Mer has nice staff who give you straight-forward advice, have a laugh with you and wrap your £100 crystal dildo in an attractive box with pretty ribbons. Perfect.

Every time I've come home with a Coco de Mer bag I've been in for the night of my life.
