Dry dry dry cakes - honestly you can get better at Waitrose now for half the price.

They do amazing personalised birthday cakes with sparkly icing. I always pop in at the weekend to pick up a treat. Love their chocolate brownies with cranberries and their rich hot chocolate with almond biscuit spoons in the winter... their mince pies are fantastic too.

I'm not a big fan of this over-rated bakery; the food is average at best and the shop is always dirty.

Great cakes (if a bit expensive). I love the Lemon Chiffon cake - so light, with lots of icing.

I bought the curly whirly cake from here for my friends and they literally couldn't get enough of it. I've now ordered it for my boyfriend's birthday. Truly the best cakes in the world and definitely worth the price! Staff are very friendly, whichever branch you go into.

The only place to buy cakes. Even more yummy than the best of home-made, and they look wonderful too! I've followed Gerhart's success from day 1 in Cornwall Road. Unlike most food places, Konditor's standards and quality are still great.

I have been going here for the past six years for all my party cakes and tarts. The children's birthday cakes are always a huge success, they always eat the cake and often ask for more.
