Other branches of Cycle Surgery in London:
HampsteadCycle Surgery reviews
Really good advice over telephone and in-store. Compared their advice to other bike stores and they're pretty much spot on. In fact, most of the assistants at Cycle Surgery are generally very knowledgeable and helpful. Some of them do spew out more jargon than necessary, however they're not vultures or after a quick sale. I've gone in-store and said no on many occasions before finally making a decision.
by Nabsinthe, 13 Mar 2008Had my wheelset built there. Fantastic. Great service, knowledge of gear, enthusiasm - one of the best shops in London (not going to say the best, as they might be beaten by someone I don't know). A worthy replacement for the Dirt-And-Dreams of Chepstow Road (R.I.P.). Highly recommended!
by Hairychested (2 reviews), 28 Feb 2008This shop is being run by a bunch of constantly changing amateurs who don't take responsibilty for their faulty repairs and incorrect advice. Before you fall into this trap, try Sympson's at Malden Road - better prices and much better service!
by tantush, 01 Sep 2007Great advice and lots of time for you. Felt happy about bike and accessories.
by Anonymous, 02 Mar 2007Really good shop, but be careful when going there at the weekend as some of the young weekend staff don't know so much. The regular staff are very helpful though and know their stuff.
by ian154 (3 reviews), 24 Jun 2006Continually kind and helpful to me, a commuter cyclist with little knowledge of bikes and cycling, I never feel like they are looking down on me or ripping me off (unlike certain others in the area.
Recommended, but can get very busy, especially at lunchtimes so pick your moment if you need a lot of help!
Came in and an American working there was very helpful and allowed me 45 minutes of his time without any distractions. Walked away with a new bike and a better feeling about my LBS.
Highly suggest this shop!
Reasonable prices, helpful staff but I don't think all of them are equally good. Having only one till is silly - it's a huge bottleneck even during relatively quiet periods.
by Anonymous, 02 Nov 2005Very unhelpful! Poor assistants who don't really care about their clients....
