Zingo reviews
Can be a bit hit and miss depending on where you are, but I've used them about 7 times so far and only once couldn't get a driver close enough, as I was in Canary Wharf. Definitely better than roaming the streets looking for that elusive 'yellow light'!

I have called Zingo on dozens of occasions, but only a handful of times have I actually reached a driver. Each of those times, the driver was nowhere near me, and heading in the opposite direction. This is a great idea, but a useless service in practice!

I also had a bad experience. I was kept waiting for a long time, then when I finally spoke to a cab driver and told him that (god forbid) I wanted to go South, he said no. I am a female and this was quite late in the evening...
Zingo has been deleted from my mobile and a more reliable company will be used in the future!

Terrible. I was stranded in an area not known to me, as my friends had left earlier and I was running late and said I would meet them there. Rang Zingo and spent 10-15 mins on the phone, only for them to recommend 5 cab companies who were not even in the area. Ended up hailing a cab in the end.

Ever been stuck in a strange area with no way of getting home? Zingo could be the answer to your prayers. Phone them from your mobile phone and they track your exact position and patch you through to the nearest licensed black cab to come and pick you up. No more reliance on dodgy illegal street cabs.

Every time I've used this firm they've been great. They have loads of drivers, so they nearly always have somebody nearby. If they don't they'll just tell you they can't do it - no messing about, straight-forward, safe and easy.
After a friend was injured in an unlicensed, uninsured minicab a few years ago I try to stick with black cabs whenever possible - Zingo makes it a lot easier.
