Love the shop and the ambiance - it's where I go to treat myself! Unfortunately I've moved away from the area now but thankfully they sell online too.

Got a gorgeous Issa dress from here. Great-looking boutique with attentive, friendly sales staff. A nice shopping experience. Recommended.

It's a lovely big shop and the girls were very helpful, but I agree the stock could be more exciting. All that Marc by Marc Jacobs, See by Chloe type of mid-market designer stuff, is pretty much the same as your average suburban boutique. Could live without all the photos of the owner's pug, but maybe that's just me??

With such great rock star credentials, you'd think it would feed into the selection being slightly 'different', but actually it's the same old stuff here as everywhere else. Great decor but the hostile shop assistant made me feel so uncomfortable I took myself and my wallet elsewhere. Humph!

I went purposely to Start Boutique to buy my first pair of expensive jeans upon recommendation. They truly delivered a great service, I had a great one-to-one service. Highly recommended.

There is a difference between sale staff "jumping" on you and them just saying "hello", which is what they do at Start, as you are after all entering their work place. Have been to the store hundreds of times and the staff are always polite, super helpful and really sweet! Amazing place.

Completely agree about the mirrors - why the hell can't they have some in the changing rooms?!? I hate being coerced into showing everyone how ill-fitting something might be. Otherwise, gorgeous clothes and accessories and I usually want to buy everything when I go there...

Agree with the statement that the sales staff jump on you as soon as you walk in - it's very off-putting. Better to go in when it's busy so you don't get singled out. Good selection though.

Rude staff (I speak as a retail manger at another high-end boutique). Surprising, because they have some good stock.

No mirrors in the changing rooms, so you have to go out into the main shop to look in the mirror. The sales staff do all they can to persuade you to buy whatever it is you tried on, even if it's clearly too big or ill-fitting. They have a great selection of clothes, but unfortunately every time I've been in I get the same pressure to buy. It totally puts me off, and I know plenty of other people who feel the same way.

The best clothes shop in Shoreditch/Hoxton by far - great service and always getting the latest stuff in.
