Banquette reviews
Excellent food at inexpensive prices in a very relaxed environment, but with all the same outstanding service and quality that marks Ramsay restaurants out. The restaurant manager's recommendations were spot on. Marcus Wareing's menus are always so well designed. The trifle is the best dessert I have ever tasted in any restaurant anywhere. Expect to leave the restaurant uncomfortably full if you go for 3 courses!
by GPL, 05 Nov 2007Great for something slightly less ostentatious than the rest of the Savoy. You could go there in jeans, it's quite informal. It's not too expensive either and the quality is amazing. I had a steak ciabatta and although the bread was a little too thick the steak tasted incredible. I would highly recommend the creme brulee, it was out of this world! However, I was suprised when they didn't have the soup that I wanted.
by Sqodge (2 reviews), 28 Oct 2006I absolutely loved the perfectly cooked food. The restaurant is great and the waiters were very helpful. I am definitely going back.
by DC33, 05 Sep 2006A reasonable effort on a quite night! My crab starter was bulked out with rather liquid additions, which at £9 did not represent value.
Main course of lamb cutlets was under cooked though the Dauphinoise potato was excellent.
My guest ordered the Goujons of sole and was brought the Lemon Sole. Nice dining room, but schoolboy errors, which should have been avoided by very apologetic staff.
Have we missed a great restaurant in London? Let us know.
