Allens Butchers reviews
I too received very poor service from their online team. Ordered 3 selection boxes, got only 1 and that had items missing, waited in for 2 further deliveries that did not turn up, and still waiting for the missing items that have been charged for. Very, very poor service. Using Donald Russell of Scotland for my quality online meat purchases now.

I have tried Allens of Mayfair for the last 6 months. The meat is outstanding quality BUT their customer service is a joke!! They can not get their orders right. The last three out of four orders have been incomplete. They corrected two but the last order they have just ignored my email and have taken no responsibility. They've just taken my money and sent me an incomplete order. By not even replying, they make you feel that you are in the wrong. I will not use them again, I'll find a butcher that can actually send what you order with no hassle! I just wonder if I am the only person to have experienced this? Surely not.

I attended a butchery lesson with a friend of my son's back in June. It was fantastic! As a lady aged 58 years, I thought I knew my meat. How wrong I was! If you are considering a really good present this Xmas, why not think of Allens butchery lessons?

The very thought of Allens makes me salivate. Perfect beef and game and wonderful pies and sausages. Yes, the meat is more expensive than your standard supermarket fare, but as a 'normal' consumer I find I would rather eat less meat and buy from a skilled butcher who provides excellent produce of sound providence. Unbeatable.

What I miss living in the USA is a personal butcher. Meeting Albert Roux there, what better recommendation? Yes, I know he liked the shop so much he bought it!

Consistently good. The quality of the meat and poultry is incredible. Well worth the queue at Christmas time!
