Petersham Nurseries Cafe reviews
Petersham Nurseries either does it really well or looks like nobody can be bothered. The customer service is erratic as is the food - it's either good or very, very ordinary. I think they've become arrogant and somehow come to believe their own hype. If there is not a serious refocus on the food and customer service pretty soon, they will drop out of the scene altogether.

You need to book, but an excellent setting worth the cost.

A place wich you have to love! Friendly staff - I think if you are friendly it always comes back to you. I want to go back there in summer.

Took my wife there for lunch. Most of the menu was not on offer. Took 15 minutes to get a drink and then order. The service is extremely poor for a restaurant charging what they charge. The food is OK, if a bit boring. I ordered poussin. When it came, it was only 1/2 a poussin! The poor service continued throughout. A place to avoid.

Absolutely fantastic! Food was brilliant - went for a wedding lunch and they couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Even saw Richard E Grant dining there too, which was a pleasure!

A secret garden! Unique and totally unexpected. A great little place for tea or coffee.

Despite the poor review below we hoped Petersham had learnt from their mistakes and we went for afternoon tea. Apparently not. We arrived 45 minutes before closing to be told there was no hot water left! Very disappointing.

Turned up an hour before advertised closing time - they refused to serve us as they had run out of food! How shambolic.

I wouldn't usually go out of my way for lunch at a garden centre, but this place is out of this world. Completely feels like you've escaped from Richmond although you're only a stone's throw from the Thames.
The food is superb and the whole place is almost overwhelmingly charming. (Almost) enough to make me want to move to Richmond.
