Tea Palace reviews
It's a lovely place to spend an afternoon, and the staff are both helpful and friendly.

Having lived in London previously and done the whole 'high tea' thing, I was dreading twee cakes, stiff service and droolingly dusty tea.
Tea Palace nicely invigorates the whole concept - dresses it down, while keeping it somewhat formal. The tea is the thing, here - and you'll be hard pressed to select among the oodles of varieties. I personally loved the Earl Grey St. Clemens and brought home (to Los Angeles) a large tin so I could continue the experience. Nice finger sandwiches, unhealthy clotted cream, scrumptious jam and crumpets (hate cakes, so I'll leave that review to others).
Give it a go.

Tea Palace is such a gorgeous place, with great food and an amazing atmosphere. If you want a treat and some fun with friends, you must try it.

I think Tea Palace is fantastic. We had heard it was great but the reality was even better. The atmosphere is really buzzy and the brunch we had really tasty and good value. Even though we had some committed coffee drinkers with us, we all loved the teas. Try the White Peony with Pink Rosebuds and the Sweet Osmanthus if you want something tasty and really healthy. It left us feeling glowing and refreshed. It's gone to top of our list of favourite places to meet up. Fab.

The quality wasn't worth the price - service wasn't pleasant but rather inefficient, and even though the tea was nice it was way overpriced. I believe this place has been over-rated.

Just a divine treat. Took a friend as a 30th birthday and had the Palace Tea (ah, the joy of 'playing ladies'). Fabulous service levels, but that is what you get with Kiwi and Aussie staff (yes, I am biased!!). We left feeling very relaxed, incredibly full and vowing to return... with a list in our heads off people that we know would love the place.

Had the most perfect lunch there with my girlfriends. The food was really good, tasty and beautifully presented. The teas are also wonderful and like nothing we have ever had before. The waiters are not bad either.

I don't think they are going for fine dining, but the food they are serving is really very good and quite imaginative; How many places serve fresh herrings these days?

We had dinner here and the food was fine... not fine dining by a long chalk, but decent and tasty. Friendly efficient service. The long tea menu helped to inspire the choice of a lovely fragrant blend as a good digestif.

Nice tea but over priced. If you are buying tea to take home take a look on the web where the same (or better) quality can be had for less than half the price.
However, for a posh "I-have-so-much-money-I-really-don't-care" moment - go for it!

Great stop for the ultimate cuppa, cakes good too, sandwiches not bad either, nice gossipy customers who seemed to know one another like club members added to the fun. The closeness of the tables makes for good gossip too among the boho chic clientele.... altogether an enjoyable experience especially if someone else is paying.
