Cheeses reviews

Yes, I can sympathise with the comments on the owner. Does go on a bit too much. However, the other girls in there are really friendly and helpful, and the selection of cheeses is excellent.

I have had the cheeses from this shop on numerous occasions and they are fantastic, no - out of this world. Anybody wanting excellent cheeses and sound advice should visit this fantastic cheese shop.

In response to the review by Anonymous on 27th March 2005. If you want fast food, go to Tesco. I have shopped in this tiny cheese emporium for the last 5 years & have nothing but excellent service & produce.

They are a family run business & part of the community they serve. Most of their customers particularly enjoy this personal interaction. Next time you are in a hurry to buy cheese, don't go here. But if you want sound knowledge, advice, georgeous cheeses & the personal touch then join the queue out the door!

I waited patiently behind the one other customer in the shop, as the woman behind the counter engaged her customer in conversation about her husband, her job, her children, and how difficult it is to juggle her busy life. I wouldn't have minded if she had been serving her at the same time, but no, she just stood there talking.

Unbelievable. I wondered how long this could go on. After 5 mins she finally started to serve her. Then in the middle she stops again, puts down the cheese and starts chatting again. I could not believe how rude she was, ignoring me completely. Finally I spoke, asking if she would not mind continuing the conversation after finishing serving, and pointing out how rude she was being. She told me *I* was rude was for mentioning it, and said it was her shop, and she could do what she liked in it, and she said that I should leave!

She clearly thinks that owning a shop allows her to be ruder to her customers than an employee. Her customer looked embarrassed. I left. Don't bother going.
