La Maison du Chocolat reviews
Yes, La Maison du Chocolat is good, but Melt (in Notting Hill) is even better - everything there is made on site, not like some!
by david001, 16 Nov 2007The champagne truffles are simply to die for. Possibly the best chocolate in the world.
by Anonymous, 30 Jun 2006The intoxicating smell that absorbs you the second you walk in the door it almost enough to kill the chocolate craving!! Thankfully, it doesn't (barely) and you're left to indulge in what can only be described as the best thing on the planet.
by nygirl, 02 Oct 2005They are so attentive here - intriguing combinations and flavours. Delicious, powerful and wonderful for gifts too.
by Trev (2 reviews), 04 Jul 2005I urge you to go in, if only to experience of the wonderful chocolate narcotic aroma when you enter the shop. It's how all shops should be, great products, knowledgeable staff and truly welcoming.
by Vavoom, 24 Jun 2005Brilliant! The staff are really nice and helpful and even let you try a few chocolates if you are unsure. Great place to buy chocolates for special occasions!

by Anonymous, 06 Dec 2004Very friendly and helpful staff here. I was unsure what to buy as a small present for a chocoholic friend and they had me trying 3 different small chocolates as I tried to make a decision. I ended up buying much more than I planned to out of sheer gratitude as they'd been so nice.
Not cheap, but excellent quality chocs. I will be back at Easter to purchase small but perfectly formed Maison du Chocolat bunnies for all the adults in my family (and a few of the kids with good taste...)
Have we missed a great chocolate shop in London? Let us know.
