Lovely staff, great pool, great food... everything was really nice, especially the blue bar which has a great atmosphere and even better cocktails. Only minus is the cost to stay there, but you do feel you are getting your penny's worth. I go every year for my birthday and so far I have not had any disappointments.

Absolutely disastrous start with us being ushered into still-occupied rooms and a seeming lack of awareness of our booking. However to their credit the service has subsequently been exemplary and we have received complimentary upgrades along with follow-up telephone calls to establish that we were satisfied.
Boxwood Cafe is excellent both for food and service but the Blue Bar is full of corporate America and expense-account bonhomie. The Berkeley Spa and pool is unmissable. Gym good but small. Steam room and sauna excellent and immaculate.
