Claridge's is a luxurious haven within easy reach of Hyde Park, Park Lane, Bond Street and Oxford Street. Lavishly re-designed by New York architect, Thierry Despont, Gordon Ramsey at Claridge's is an exquisite example of some of the finest dining in London. For drinks, head to Claridge's Bar - a tribute to the Art Deco movement, designed by David Collins - where you'll find top notch cocktails, a wide range of champagnes and an excellent range of cigars.

Claridge's reviews

We had a lovely time and such beautifully scrummy cakes. Service a little slow, but not bad for central London.

Friend stayed there after his wedding, before going on the honeymoon. He said it was TERRIBLE - they even gave them single beds! He's a complainer, so wrote to them afterwards and they offered a free stay. They went back again on New Year's Eve. Said it was better but still overrated!

Claridge's is definitely one of my top 3 hotels in London. In contrast to many of the more modern "boutique" hotels it has substance as well as style and the level of service is just excellent.

Not really a "young person's" hotel and most of the guest were in their 50s and 60s, but I'd still recommend it for a romantic / shopping & sightseeing weekend for anybody. There's a decent bar, the bedrooms are traditional and elegant and Gordon Ramsay's restaurant is justifiably world famous. There's another restaurant there too, but with only 2 nights there we wanted to check out some other London restaurants so we ate out on our second night - there are literally dozens of superb restaurants in walking distance - I'd suggest Benares (Indian) or Le Gavroche (French) which are both spectacular.

Highly recommended.
