CC Club reviews
Don't bother... Overpriced, overrated, crap music, rude door staff.
by daveo1978 (2 reviews), 13 Apr 2008If you ever have the misfortune of actually being allowed into this dive I suggest you drastically lower your expectations for a good night.
Firstly, the door staff are Nazis. They give London clubs a bad name and taint the image of our cosmopolitan, all-are-welcome city. Having queued for 30mins, I was refused entry to the club. The group of girls we were with were ushered in with no problems at all. So even if you dress smart, arrive early with girls and queue patiently, there is no guarantee of getting in.
If you ever manage to navigate yourself past the door, you will wonder what all the fuss was about. The club is a vacuous den of attitude where all the flirty fun of a Friday night has been sucked away. It's soulless, generic, clubbing-by-numbers. And it's a shame, because this is one of the few London clubs I know that plays hip-hop.
Anyone who knows their clubs should steer well clear of this one. Don't believe the hype. You have been warned.
Me and my girls went to CC club on Friday night and it was wicked. The music was great, the drinks were OK although a bit pricey, the bouncers were really nice, and the boys were 100% hot. Planning to go back for more good times!
by Jessye, 23 Jul 2007Commercial crap music, way too overpriced and full of posers. Just... no.
by Lamzy (8 reviews), 26 May 2007CC is a club for a younger clientele. If you're pretentious, fame seeking, or hoping to sneak into a celeb's picture, CC is not the place for you. This club is much more low-key, low-market and accessible. HOWEVER, this does not mean it is not a brilliant night. CC on a Friday and Saturday are brilliant, and if you're looking for a Thursday night slot, CC is the one. They host some huge names, including Amerie and Neyo (yes, the real ones).
by partygoer, 17 May 2007Fridays are the best crowd. Good music. Just drink before you go - very expensive.
by Anonymous, 23 Apr 2007Full of Essex trash and tourists who don't have a clue. The music policy is the most commercial rubbish I've ever heard. Avoid at all costs if you live in London and want a good night out!
by Anonymous, 01 Mar 2007An OK place. Drinks were moderately priced. The night I was there I believe there were a few dance groups in attendance, which for me was fun to watch them battle. I wouldn't call this place posh but it was a good night out. It was fairly crowded but that didn't last more than 2-3 hours. The interior was nice to look at, and the staff were all pleasant enough.
by untold, 24 Feb 2007CC is a really nice club. The crowd is great (young and beautiful), the music is good, and the venue adequate. I would have loved to rate this 5/5, but the drinks were incredibly expensive, as is entry and the cloakroom. Other than that, I had a really good birthday last Saturday. The staff were very friendly and, unlike a lot of London clubs, there aren't old men following you around everywhere. Loved it, but I'd advise you to drink beforehand!
by hazeleyez801, 16 Jan 2007Good crowd... it went a bit downhill a couple of months ago, but that's all changed now and it's a great night out. Funky house room is amazing and the other room is 80s music. Drinks can be a little pricey but the night makes up for it. Full of beautiful people. VIP lounge is good, relaxing on the sofas after hours of dancing with a nice glass of champagne. Friday night is completely different to Saturday though - Fri is a bit like a carnival whereas Sat is more funky and a million times better.
by Anonymous, 07 Nov 2006If you like commercialised Hip Hop and R&B then this is your place. I've been a number of times, mainly on a Friday, and have had an OK time on every occasion.
The music is not bad, though the DJ doesn't seem to have enough tracks and repeats all the popular songs throughout the night. The crowd is OK and the style of the venue is nice. Friday is definitely the best day to go if you're tempted.
One word springs to mind. Essex. In fact, make that the trashy end of Essex. Awful.
by Anonymous, 30 Aug 2006Yes, CC is trashy and yes, it's not posh and yes, it's definitely not sophisticated. BUT if you like hip hop (and all that funky house rubbish gives you a headache), you want a peaceful night, you want to dance all night and get a little pissed, then I would recommend CC! It's always fun on Fridays and it's brilliant for making fun of other people (come on, everyone does it!)
by Anonymous, 15 Aug 2006I have been going to CC for ages, the music is really good for hip hop and R&B on Fridays, the venue is nice and the crowd is alright. It's hard to find a club with strictly hip hop/R&B music and a good crowd. This club has that on a Friday.
by london clubber, 03 Jun 2006Terrible DJs who talked over an already awful music selection. Drinks were overpriced. don't recommend at all. Not worth the money.
by laurass, 02 Jun 2006Commercial. Mainstream. The Mcdonalds of clubs.
These are phrases that come to mind whenever the name CC club comes to mind. If you are the cannon fodder that this place dreams of then you will enjoy it. What that reflects about you of course is a completely different story. Could be one of three things, your very young, very naive or just easily satisfied.
Most awful club ... EVER! Full of rude boys and wannabe R&B chicks. Lacks any class at all. Girl, you will get approached non-stop and groped. Don't go!
