Kabaret's Prophecy reviews
I've been going there for a few weeks now and have really had fun. Saturday's a great night to go - music is banging and the girls stunning!
by Sammy Jones, 26 Feb 2008Been going there for a couple of years. It's quite compact and their idea of a table can only be described as a stool for the price that you are paying. Used to be a bit more exclusive, but now not so much. I still go there and, to be honest, I have no idea why.
by wonuola (3 reviews), 26 Jul 2007Probably the only 'table club' in central London that is bearable. For some reason it has that little something extra that sets it aside from the Umbabas and Mo'vidas. Perhaps because it's a bit less commercial and doesn't have that try-hard attitude. Anyway, give it a go and you might be surprised.
by Anonymous, 07 Mar 2007Horrible place. Even Chinawhite is better. Weird people - they think they are actually cool because they're at Kabaret. And it's even more expensive than Movida too! Toilets are stylish, but the toilet lady is miserable.
by Anonymous, 06 Mar 2007Not a bad club, but the staff were terrible. After ordering several bottles of champagne for our group, the bouncers forced me outside and wouldn't let me back in. Ruined what had up till then been a great night.
by Anonymous, 13 Feb 2007I went to Kabaret for my 21st and had a suitably memorable experience. Danced with the likes of Paris Hilton, Steve Jones, Grace et al from Big Brother and some X Factor contestants.
Have to agree with the overpriced issue. Also, I'd expected the music to be better, since on Kabaret's website it boasts that it's an industry night for the hardcore. But it doesn't seem like music is the top priority here.
However, celebrity sightings appear to be a certainty so if you don't mind parting with your pounds then give it a try!
Highly unacceptable service from the rude staff. Venue was too small and too packed. Completely lacks the sophistication and exclusivity it boasts of. Overpriced with nothing to show for it.
by Anon1, 11 Nov 2006We went on an all-expenses-paid night out here on a Wednesday and it was packed right out. It was like walking into a 50Cent video - the people hanging out here definitely spend a lot of time and money on their appearance! I wouldn't go if I was paying, but if you have a limitless budget it's great.
The decor is really nice, and the dance floor is cool. If I were paying, I would be a bit annoyed at the amount of people let in - I like some space when I dance, not being crushed by other people. If you want a table, be prepared to fork out a lot of money. The music was great - RnB.
4 years ago, Thursdays were all about Kabaret with the Cutler sisters hosting... now it's too commercial.
by Anonymous, 04 Aug 2006Went to the club on a Monday night. Music was average, drinks were overpriced, people looking too cool to enjoy themselves. The only thing I loved were the walls with funky lights!
by mewmew, 07 Jul 2006Another jumped up London club full of vapid rich kids. Pretentious and bad value for money... is it really worth missing Big Brother for?
by Anonymous, 29 Jun 2006This is the worst club I have EVER been to. Staff are rude, music very average, and the venue tiny with no atmosphere.
If you like spending £38 on a bottle of cheap house wine, and a stuck up crowd, this is the place for you.
My boyfriend had his birthday party there and it was amazing. The staff lit nearly all of the cigs I had that night, and the music was immaculate!
by Lise, 27 Mar 2006I went to Kabaret on a Monday, and I think this is the best day to go. The music was super, the people were nice (and good looking) and everything was great!
by Stina, 16 Mar 2006When we first got in there was a good atmosphere. But after 12.00 it felt like a zoo... way too many people for its capacity.
by alize, 15 Jan 2006Not classy at all. We pre-booked a table at a cost of several hundred pounds, yet when we arrived we were told there were no tables left. We managed to find a table in the end which was never even cleared for us. The place was far too small and crammed to be considered sophisticated. Wouldn't bother going again.
I really like this funky club. Great young crowd. Too bad they only play rap and R&B...
by brother, 16 Dec 2005Amazing. The lights, drinks, people, decoration, staff, everything about this club is fantastic. It's small, but for a reason, a very select and unpretentious crowd. Overall a fantastic night out.
Expensive but due to the money spent on the club and the type of people that go there, it's for the correct reasons. A good age, (25-30). However it is important to choose the right night as music changes and so do the people.
Have we missed a great club in London? Let us know.
