It's not often I take time to rate a bar. And this one is not good. Three of us walked in for pre-dinner drinks and were told the tables were booked for private parties. We offered to sit at the bar but were shown to a table. And another 2 tables after that. With each move we offered to sit at the bar. They said no. After 30 mins, we had one drink then left. Service was very confused.

The bar is a complete scam. 3 drinks came to £19.50 (2 spirits, 1 bottle of beer). When I asked for the receipt there was a 12.5% service charge included. The barman then argued with me when I said I didn't want to pay it but begrudgingly agreed to give it back to me. The service was rubbish anyway. Bar wasn't busy and it still took 15 mins to get served. What cheek. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T PAY THE SERVICE CHARGE or, better still, just avoid the place.

Great atmosphere and yummy cocktails! But kind of in the middle of nowhere and usually filled with private parties.

I hadn't been to this bar in ages, but some friends and I decided to pop down a couple of Saturdays ago for old time's sake and had a great time! The manager (owner?) is still the same - what a friendly guy he is - and the bar staff were very friendly too. A great bar to have on your doorstep.

My girlfriend and I went to this place last night for a birthday party. What a terrible bar! The woman on the door was so far up herself it was ridiculous. She tried to make herself feel important by asking us who we were there to see (it's a bar - what if we just wanted to come in for a drink?!). Unbelievably rude.

Having finally got inside, the first time I got served the wineglass still had lip marks around it; then, when I asked for a clean one, they brought out another dirty one. Later, when I went up for my second round, I was waiting for 25 minutes to get served and eventually gave up.

We had to wait 20 minutes for them to find the coat that they had insisted I take off (eventually my girlfriend went in and found it in a pile on the floor), and another 15 minutes for the coats of the people we were leaving with.

I would never go back to this bar and certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. AVOID.

I'm sorry, but this has to be THE most pretentious bar in the whole of London. A friend of mine had her birthday here and not only were we not allowed to give her her presents (everything had to be stored by the door), but the bar was cramped, the staff rude and extremely slow.

Case in point: after waiting for over half an hour for the floor service to produce the first cocktail of the evening (the cocktails were nice but nothing special and nothing that original either), when we dared to try and buy more there was a further inordinately long wait at the bar. Such was the wait, three of us ended up waiting at different points with orders for the table to try and expedite matters. When one of us was served finally, after ordering some of the drinks, he was told that that was his lot as the barman had other (female) people to serve! Thus leaving half our table without drinks.

To add insult to injury, they have the audacity to put in their menu that Dusk bar is like a West End bar, but without the pretentious attitudes. What a joke. And it was mis-spelt! It got so bad waiting for a drink that a couple of us ducked out twice to the bar down the road to actually have a drink, which was the main aim of the evening.

A thoroughly disappointing and extortionately expensive venue that I will never ever frequent again. Birthday or not.

Booked Dusk for a party 2 months ago. They cancelled with 2 weeks to go. Have had to find another venue and inform 60 guests that we've got to change plans. Totally unprofessional. Don't book your parties at Dusk. You can't rely on them.

Within the space of one week I have been there twice and love it! The decor is superb and the food excellent but the drinks are what makes this place a gem. Some of the best cocktails in London!

Love it! I've been living south of the river for years, and at first I was happy with Sand & The White House, but since Dusk cane along there is really no reason to go anywhere else! Sexy bartenders, delicious bar food & fantastic cocktails. What more could a girl want?

Wow, wow and more WOW!!! What's a bar like this doing in Battersea? Gorgeous cocktails, top service and cool & funky design. I moved from Chelsea a few months ago and I am so pleased to have found such a great bar on my doorstep. Well done!

Great crowd, awesome cocktails. There's a small outside area for when the sun shines and plenty of space inside for when it doesn't. Service gets erratic when it's really busy but only because they take their time to get the drinks right. Good one.

Dusk is definitely the best bar in South London - in fact the only decent bar in South London... Gets crowded and can sometimes take a while to be served, but the cocktails are worth waiting for when they arrive. Also, membership is free and it makes it easier to reserve tables, etc.

Fantastic. I'm a picky person when it comes to decor, cocktails and particularly service, however this bar rates well with all.

The decor is smart and modern, yet very comfortable (these points rarely go together!). The cocktails are innovative and freshly made. The service is efficient and friendly, from the beautiful girl on the door to the attentive but not intrusive waitress (if she didn't know about a cocktail she found out about it for you).

The prices are good, about £6-7 per cocktail, frankly half what you pay in Chelsea and better made. The food is good, mainly nibbles - complimenting the drinks. It is a members bar, but for those of who don't dress like the homeless or behave like we should be taking medication, entrance shouldn't be a problem. Battersea is fast becoming the place to be, with funky places, sensible prices and unpretentious people. Leave bankers behind and start here, because it is a bar well worth the journey!!

I've had quite a few great nights here, including my birthday. Great for parties as you can hire the private area to one side of the bar or a room at the back (for free if you're a member). Lovely laid back, cool feel to the place with its little candles and low lighting. The Amaretto Sours are far far too moreish!

Great to find more quality bars opening south of the river. With a few ex-Townhouse guys behind the bar the drinks here are excellent and they do a range of decent snacks too.
