The first of the Eclipse bars, located in Brompton Cross, opened in 1998 and has proved popular ever since. The central location, good cocktails and friendly service make it a great venue for private hire or just meeting friends.

After reading these reviews, I totally saw for myself what a crappy place this is. Went in with a couple of mates and was told it was going to cost us £40 per person (6 x £40 = £240) minimum spend to sit at a table. WHAT A JOKE!! Stay away!

Had an amazing time there. Very good-looking staff, but the music was a little bit loud in the back area. Anyway, we had a nice birthday party that evening.

My god, those exotic Latin guys behind the bar have 9 hands - so fast and efficient, they certainly know how to shake it! The drinks were great though a little bit expensive, but the atmosphere is worth it. So many people, you can't move.

Would be nice if the bar staff served waiting customers first, before the queue-hopping management!! Even witnessed a fight!

Very bad doorman at your bar!

Manager is rude and gets drunk whilst working. Music is average at best. Stay away from it.

Nice bar and fun can be had, but unfortunately service is very slow when busy and the manager is an absolute disaster (more focused on getting drunk than taking care of customers). In any case, a good bar.

Best bar in Chelsea by miles.

Cheap, cheap, cheap place, full of prostitutes and drugs.

Was in Eclipse last night. Had some lovely, moderately priced cocktails and there was a great atmosphere. However, the evening was marred slightly as there was a group of loud Scottish gentlemen in the corner drinking champagne out of the bottle.

Fab bar - I make a point of visiting here every time I am in London. Yes expensive, but worth it for the atmosphere... and of course they make the best cocktails in the world. I have always found the staff excellent and love the loo attendant, she is something else.

£20 for a vodka and tonic and an orange juice in the downstairs bar in South Kensington Eclipse on a busy Saturday night. Bar tender didn't even bother to use the till or provide a receipt, then when I asked him for my change he told me to f*** off and pointed to the bouncer as if I had committed a sin!

Always a good start to the evening here. Great staff who know how to deal with their customers. Great intimate place, not over the top, calm and seductive at the same time!

Nice and cosy. Music is great - you can dance all night long. Friendly environment. We always have a good time at Eclipse.

Great bar, yummy snacks (tiger prawns in hollandaise with champagne, mmmm!!!), buzzy but not crazy, friendly staff, comfy seats. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

Mixed feeling about this place. Yes it's full of pretentious people, the drinks are expensive and the bouncers are rude. It's very small and crowded and you may end up standing. If you don't often these sort of places then Eclipse isn't for you.
For me, I like it, it has a nice crowd, a mix of the Chelsea and internationals. People are beautiful, a lot of socializing going on, and the cocktails are pretty good. If you're a regular the staff will be nice and friendly. It helps if you tip.
Perfect place to meet friends on weekdays or pre-club drinks on weekends.

What's not to like about Eclipse? Fun-loving staff, great cocktails and a great atmosphere.

Full of typical Chelsea people. Added a £2 service charge for an £18 bottle of house wine. When we complained their answer was "If you can't afford it, don't drink it". Way too packed, and the bouncers were very rude too.

This has to be the most pretentious bar I have ever been to. Full of posers revelling in the fact that they're paying way over the odds for a drink. They only serve one type of beer, and the cocktails didn't even taste of alcohol. The bar staff were extremely unfriendly and kept taking away my unfinished drinks.

Even though the bar was empty, we still couldn't take a seat downstairs without signing up for table service - with a minimum spend of £25 a head at the tables it was a little bit pointless as we weren't out to drink heavily. The staff were unfriendly, and were more interested in doing their own shots behind the bar than serving (overpriced) drinks. Won't be going back in a hurry.
