I take friends from out of town who are not used to tall buildings here - they just love the views and the novelty of cracking open a bottle of champagne halfway up a skyscraper. It's not a huge bar, certainly not cheap, and the best tables by the windows go pretty quick, but it's worth it just for the views.
On my first visit the bar manager kindly pointed out the landmark sites to my guests - the world's tallest hospital, St Pauls, Tower Bridge, etc, and explained the inner workings of the (in)famous gherkin. All in all, a decent bar in an amazing location.

If you're wearing a suit, and want the best views of Canary Wharf and the 'Erotic Gherkin' this is the place to go for a pre-dinner glass of champagne. Impressive.
