Mint Leaf reviews
Food and service were great. Really good atmosphere. Had a fantastic time!
by Anonymous, 16 Mar 2007Empty on a Saturday night - possibly due to ultra loud music that doesn't allow you to talk?... Nice decor though, and the occasional 'C-list' celeb.
by Not a wannabe, 05 Dec 2006I went with two girl friends on a Friday night and, admittedly, Mint Leaf does have an inspiring cocktail and food menu. BUT... they also have unprofessional management, awfully slow service, lack of atmosphere, and waiting staff with attitude problems.
Half-way through the night, we were asked to move to a table where we would be all squashed up, purely due to a group of girls arriving late. I politely refused because: 1) I was not allowed to book a table in the bar area in the first place; 2) I don't see why a group of girls arriving late should get priority service just because they were twinkling their eyelashes; 3) I don't expect to be paying this kind of money only to be ushered around like a herd of sheep.
In summary, I would not recommend it if you want a stress-free night out. If you want to pop in for one quick tasty cocktail do so, but just don't have high expectations to be looked after.
Really like Mint Leaf. Bar: great cocktails, ever friendly, accomplished staff and fantastic bar snacks. Restaurant: very good, modern Indian dishes. All in all, I think it's actually pretty reasonably priced compared to a lot of the less salubrious places nearby.
