Salt Whisky Bar reviews
The Egyptian and Indian staff were extremely rude. We got charged £20 for a shisha we hadn't asked for (we were supposed to get one that cost £12). When we told the staff, they were incredibly brash and would not discount something WE HADN'T ASKED FOR. We also ordered an apple shisha that tasted like anything but apple. Definitely NOT recommended.

Did not even have an opportunity to have a whisky, as the staff kept on moving us from table to table because we did not want to smoke shisha. A really unwelcoming place with a far too dark inside. Clearly fine if you want to smoke shisha but not a good place to drink whisky. Staff rude and obnoxious, which is sad as it used to be a wonderful bar. The only benefit of the evening is that we went elsewhere and food a fabulous pub on Upper Berkeley St.

A nice place to be on a Saturday or Sunday night. Their sheeshas are really awesome. Overall, I love this place and always have a great time there. I am sure you will too...

Went here with all the girls for a night out. We were the only girls in the place, along with loads of perverted guys. Staff were very rude and when the bill came there were 9 bottles of wine on it (we had 3 red and 1 white), several teas (we had none), and 6 Mojitos (well, they tried to make Mojitos but they didn't turn out like that). Prices were steeper than usual.
When we tried to clarify with the manager that we did not have all those drinks, the waitress lied rotten as she realized she was putting the wrong stuff on our bill and you could see it wasn't the first time she had done that.
In the end we called the police ourselves as the bouncer got very aggressive with the support of management and hit one of us (5 girls, all of us professionals). Bouncer did a runner before the police came.
Don't go there unless you like to be treated like dirt.

Well, not all that great: staff can barely speak English; waitresses don't know anything on the menu; expect to find random add-on drinks on your bill if you come with more than 2 people; barmen could not make a Southern Comfort with coke without looking it up (also looked it up the second and third time they made it); shisha use fake tobacco and it takes up to 45 mins to get the coal...

Been to this bar a few times while I've been in London. Great whisky and food menu! Food prices are very, very good. Looks like they have a DJ every night who plays great music. If you love your whisky, food, and great music, then this is the place to come.

I visit at least 3 times a week for shisha. It's one of the best bars in London I've come across. Although a bit dull in the week, it's the place to be on a Fri or Sat night!

Went there on Saturday. Staff did seem very helpful, and the DJ was so good.

This place is very swank, but really doesn't fit in with the long history of whisky debauchery. Still, it is a great place to take high class hookers/gold diggers. And yes, the staff did seem very stuck up.

Although the drinks are great, the customer service is unacceptable. Impolite staff, with waiters that don't smile and a particularly rude door man. Not recommended.

Great place to be if you are a whisky or cocktail drinker. Great drinks list, very friendly staff, good music.

Went there last Thursday for an evening dinner with some friends. Brilliant - staff, DJ, and the singer. A perfect night out.

Very disappointed. Staff knew nothing about whisky and just hand you a menu. Dead atmosphere, very poor all round. If you like whisky try Albannach on Trafalgar Square.

Salt is good but can get very busy. The ONLY place to shelter when getting away from old man pubs showing the football...

The salmon and broccoli ice-cream was fabulous. I've tried some good ice-creams in my day, but this was truly marvellous.
I didn't like the fact that the barmaid flashed my boyfriend however.

What a great selection of Malt whiskies, not only that, all the bar staff can speak English, which seems hard to find these days.
