Volstead reviews
The place is small with very little dance floor, full of wannabe gangsters. Tried to book a table, price went up once I'd agreed. You can't buy class. Rude staff, generally a down-market place that pretends to be cool.

After attending last night I would agree with jimmyjazz. Place hasn't changed, and door staff have no idea how to run the so-called guest list! NEVER AGAIN!

This place is full of people up their own ass. Overpriced drinks, pretentious clientele, cheap girls looking for their next drink, music that's average... Don't bother.

Please... The first four reviews are blatantly from the promoter/owner. This place is small, lacks atmosphere but oozes cash. The thing is, you wonder why the people in there flashing the cash aren’t at one of the other, so much better ‘top-end’ nightclubs. Maybe they like that the club is second-rate.

The place has had its ups and downs but seems to be back on track. Great new management team who've got the place running smooth.

AWFUL!! Arrogant bouncers, tacky decor, small and overpriced. There are many other nice clubs in London, do not waste your time in Volstead.

Lousy website - no real information, just showy rubbish...no menus...when you try to book you get a ticket agency who just read off the info they have and do not have any idea of the place...can't book on line and can't get through direct on the phone either. Just a mess and up its own bum, basically.
Oh, one thing I did find out - if you want a table it's £65 minimum!

Not a bad bar but trying to be more exclusive than it really is. The crowd is better than the bar itself, as are the staff. It's not doing anything innovative and the music and surroundings are standard - nothing more, nothing less... Worth going once but maybe not a second time.

I've noticed that status is pretty necessary to have a good time here. However, if you've got it, then you'll have a spectacular night.

Went there last night. It's OK but overpriced, a bit too small, and you usually wait ages to get your drink. Apart from that, music's alright... Went there for the after-party of an event, so probably won't ever get in there for 'free' again!

Not sure what club those below were at, but I despised it. Money talks here and all it is saying is "bag yourself an up-for-it, cheap Sloaney pony and ride her out". Vulgar, tacky, claustraphobic. Never experienced girls behaving in such an unfeminine manner. Open drinks on tables are rife for date rapers (very worrying), music was dreadful and the 'sharking' around the dance floor worse still. All you will pick up here is an STD!

Great people, great atmosphere, good service, great music, lovely ladies. The best Saturday night in London at the moment by far.
