K Spa at the K West Hotel

K West reviews
I booked a n/s twin room for myself and my friend and rang the hotel the night before we arrived to confirm this. We got there to find they'd put us in a double room and the only twins available were smoking rooms. We stood our ground and managed to get upgraded to a suite but there didn't seem to be that much difference.
On the positive side, the spa was great, with lovely helpful staff. The hotel's location is fairly convenient too - it's actually only about 150 yds from the Central Line.
A word of warning: pay the extra for an English Breakfast. That way you get to eat in the restaurant instead of being doubled over eating off the very low tables in the lounge (not good for the digestion!).
Nothing special. No parking unless you want to spend loads, and the outside of the building needed painting. Inside was standard. You get what you pay for.
by Anonymous, 21 Sep 2006My husband booked a surprise birthday package for me. It wasn't the easiest place to get to. Didn't think much of the building outside, as we approached the hotel, I thought "where had he bought me?". Don't make the mistake of going with your car, there is nowhere to park except the car valeting company right next to the hotel. We made the mistake of assuming it was connected to the hotel and were horrified to find out they charge £1.50 per hour.
Once we got in the staff were really friendly and it wasn't that bad. As a birthday package, there were balloons in our room, however they were a cheap variety. We also should have arrived to a bottle of champagne, which didn't arrive until we were out to dinner.
The food was nice. The spa was great. Nice and clean and again, friendly staff.
Not bad - smaller than I thought it would be. Dire location though.
