St Martin's Lane reviews
If this hotel was an airline it would be easyjet or something worse! Terrible food, awful staff who reckon they're more important than the customers, and dreadful rooms - even the deluxe!!

Have been in the hotel 3 weeks. The staff are great, the room service is good, as is the menu. There are 2 major problems though. The air-conditioning is of no use to man nor beast and I've had to have a fan put in my room. Second is the TV - it's small... and I mean small. I also have one minor question: why does the beer come from Singapore and Peru? Would love a more regular beer - a Fosters or some such.

Have stayed many times and have always been very pleased with the staff and the rooms. Will always use St Martin's Lane when in London.

My partner booked this as a treat and it wasn't a let-down. Sadly we didn't spend much time in the hotel, but the room and service were great.

If AbFab's Eddie and Patsy opened a hotel back in their 90's heyday, it would now look something like this tatty, formerly trendy tenement.
From the worthless, surly staff, to the over designed lobby and rooms, to the cheap, uncomfortable Ikea-like room furniture, the St Martins Lane Hotel offers nothing for something: 240 British Pounds gets you all this and less.
If you're from a small Midwestern town, this place may impress you.

Shrager's first London hotel was big news when it opened. It's still impressive, and a great place to stay if you want to be near theatre-land. But I can't help thinking that other London hotels have caught up a bit in the last few years, and Shrager's approach isn't as revolutionary as it seemed 5 years ago.
Apart from the location, you're really here for the Philippe Starck design and it certainly wows when you first enter the lobby. Beyond that, the Light Bar is great but Asia de Cuba (the main restaurant) didn't do much for me.
