Variable quality of service. Sometimes the make up specialists can be bitchy and po-faced. Sometimes the other staff are well and truly wonderfully patient. It is a gamble.

I called Muswell Hill Space.NK to ask if they had a particular product in stock. The assistant was very unhelpful and said they don't sell it. I told her that I usually buy it from Space.NK, then she grudgingly agreed to check for me. However, while I was waiting on the phone she put the phone down...

As a gift-buying or wife-accompanying male I find the lighting shockingly stark and service between terrible and excellent.
There is always something neat and gifty here to save me at the last minute, great product, good layout but poorly displayed pricing. It can take a huge amount of time to get through check out as the staff might help a regular or demanding customer for up to 15 minutes while I hold my purchases under the world's most highly powered indoor lighting.
