Gusto and Relish reviews
I went into the shop to buy some cheese for a dinner party. I asked that the cheese be pasteurised, as my wife was pregnant. "Completely ridiculous" the owner said, "No evidence whatsoever that she has to avoid unpasteurised cheese". I then asked him who I should trust, him or my wife's doctor? He had no answer. We had only just moved into the area and have never been back. His service is going to encourage people into the new Sainsburys rather than be loyal to the local shops. Such a shame, as the food is delicious.

Consistently unpleasant interaction with, I think, the two owners, who always manage to be condescending and are sometimes just plain rude. The 'up-selling' is annoying - "Do you want creme fraiche with that?", "Would you like cheese for your dinner party?"... (there is no dinner party, I'm just going to scoff this on my own!) However, it is just around the corner from my home and the Chocolate Nemesis is an exceptional taste sensation, worth putting up with the unpleasant service for.

Lovely deli, serving really nice lunches to take away. Perhaps the staff have changed since other reviewers wrote in, as I found them perfectly friendly.

Delicious food and great selection of salads each day. A slice of Chocolate Nemesis makes a trip worthwhile from far and wide.

We wanted to give this little deli a great review because their food is quite good.
However, after living a couple of doors down from them for six-months and buying something a couple of times a week, they never got any friendlier. And then there was the constant up-selling like they had taken a course from McDonalds in how to increase the size of the order.
Maybe they don't live in Barnes therefore they have no sense of neighborliness?
