Raoul's reviews
Good selection of food but the staff are moody and rude. Same in Raoul's Cafe opposite. Rubbish service just isn't good enough, especially with premium prices.
by Moo Moo "top london reviewer" (24 reviews), 10 May 2008I have been going to Raoul's fo the last 15 years. The service has really deteriorated over the years. I have not been there in the last 9 months; I wonder if the lady who owned it (Geraldine) has sold the business to a new proprietor?
by L.Gervais, 27 Nov 2007Very very good ingredients, bit pricey but lovely experience. I had the proscuito pizza and an outstanding aubergine and chickpea dish in a rich smokey tomato sauce. The Raoul cafe across the road was very busy for Saturday lunch and had a few posers in there.

by Anonymous, 10 May 2006Good Food. Quality Eggs. Pricey Menu. Poor service. The cutlery and plates are dirty and have seen its days. Go or not, it's up to you.
by Eggie, 02 Apr 2006Great atmosphere, great location, really great food - shame about the service. The quality of ingredients is fantastic and particular menu highlights are the eggs Benedict and French toast.
by Anonymous, 14 Mar 2006This is a great place as it is extremely laid back, convenient and serves excellent quality food. The prices are sometimes totally ridiculous but I still end up going back there 2 or 3 times a week. The deli opposite is great too.
by Buffdude, 03 Feb 2006The Eggs Benedict are the best in London. Really, all of the food is so good and the only reason I keep going back! Certainly not for the service, which is atrocious.
by Anonymous, 22 Oct 2005Wonderful home made dishes, especially the organic beef lasagne. Best chicken soup since my grand mother used to make. A good selection of high quality products, sometimes a bit expensive. Very busy place sometimes and the service can be a bit slow. Definitely worth a visit.
by jett, 20 Oct 2005Oh my goodness - I didn't know eggs could be this good! Seriously I now go to the deli and get these eggs for home use! The service could definitely be better at Raoul's - they are a bit uptight and I felt as thought they thought they were doing me a favour by taking our order - hmmmm whatever - it's called the service industry.
by Anonymous, 03 Sep 2005Best food, great atmosphere makes up for rather shoddy service. Best eggs in town.
by Kickasss (2 reviews), 03 Jun 2005An excellent deli in Maida Vale. The mozzarella is excellent as are the Italian eggs and parma ham. I can't say that I've found the service bad.
by Anonymous, 13 Apr 2005Very slow service. Manager always in hurry, doesn't have time for customers.
