Dickins & Jones reviews
I will be sorry to see this store close as it has been a excellent store and landmark to London for many years. Ever since I was a child living in London it was one of the stores I visited.

I will be very sad to see this landmark store closing in January. I have always enjoyed shopping there and it is one of the few places where old fashioned courteous service is found.

I think the current trends were there, I just think that it was badly managed & marketed over the years. It was also under-staffed, and what staff are there are stressed out trying to do everything. The sales are the only thing that generates more foot-fall & it's the constant sales that have damaged it's image over the years as a regular shopper I've noticed this more in the last 2 years.

Very sad that the shop will close on 14 January. It just didn't keep up to date with current trends.

Having Union flags all over your store is admirable but allowing them to get dirty and tattered is unacceptable. It wouldn't happen in the USA! Please do something.

I am really sad that Dickins and Jones will be closing at Christmas. I always shop there and have done for many many years and so do many celebs too. It really is my favourite store.

Good menswear department, with a high quality and fashion-conscious own label. I am not surprised it is closing in January 2006 - although I am disappointed - as in the many years I have visited, it has always been the quietest department store I've experienced, almost to the point of devoid of customers at some times in the day.

An unhurried store where you can shop at your leisure, shame it's to cease trading in January.

I love Dickins & Jones as the staff are always visible and friendly. The store is presentable and with space to browse and shop.
The doorman adds a sense of class and it has a range of products to suit all markets.

Trying to get through on the phone is impossible - nobody answers and you are left with the phone ringing.
When you get through, if you are lucky, the help you get from staff is poor!

They never answer the phone. At 4pm Tuesday I got a message saying they were closed... and I've spent £1000s with their personal shopping team (who are great).

So overdue for an overhaul. It's a great shop in some ways, but has been left behind my Selfridges and Harvey Nicks. I still use Dickens and Jones for cosmetics and a few accessories, but they need to re-invent themselves to keep up.
