Other branches of Hamburger Union in London:
Covent Garden (Main Branch)Hamburger Union reviews
The chips are awesome but the burgers are a little overpriced. I hope those extra pounds really are paying for the naturally reared, grass fed and free range meat... The floor service was great, the counter service not so good.
by kokett (3 reviews), 27 Feb 2007I disagree with the review below, the chips are awesome too.
Being a veggie I always thought that I may not be well catered for, but they have 3 veggie options including a superb Haloumi burger.
Also try the milkshake...
Chips were poor really.... but burgers awesome - really awesome! Slightly pricey though.

by ariadna (4 reviews), 27 Jun 2005Food is really very good but service is dire. On my trip today, mid-afternoon, great numbers of staff milled around doing god-knows-what while the only staff member taking orders chatted with a couple of chums about video-making for five minutes instead; after that food was far too slow to arrive given that the restaurant was nearly empty.
by Anonymous, 10 Jan 2005One of the most over-rated places in London. The woman serving looked like she'd rather be anywhere else in the world and the procedure was confusing with no-one noticing us wandering around looking stupid.
Go to one of the other burger joints.
Am I missing something? A mushroom in a soggy bun does not a vegetarian meal make.
by Anonymous, 02 Dec 2004Good, simple, tasty burgers and shakes in an area that previously had few choices for take away lunch beyond the standard sandwich bars.
by crimson "top london reviewer" (34 reviews), 15 Oct 2004Went with my sister and ordered 2x burger and chips and 2x cokes. Total was around 14 quid so it is pricey. Having said that the food was served very quickly and was very very tasty.
