Lucky Seven is the all-American, New York style diner owned by Terence Conran's son Tom. Intimate booths, mirrors and an indulgent menu of burgers with all the trimmings, skinny fries and thick milkshakes make this a surprisingly accurate recreation of a 1950s diner. Hefty breakfasts are served with fresh eggs and pancakes to start the day. Not the place to come if you are striving for a size zero waistline.

Lucky Seven reviews
I was recommended this place by a friend, and my god was I disappointed. From the offstart, the man who I assume is the manager (though heaven knows why) was rude, obnoxious and clearly oblivious to the importance of good service. Although the food was undeniably good (give or take the fact that the bacon on my burger was near charred), the experience was utterly ruined by the ignorant manager. When I returned to my friend with my verdict, she replied: "Oh god, sorry, I forgot to warn you about him" - which says it all!
The good news, however, is that she has kindly informed me that he does not work nights! So at least I can return to have another of their delicious milkshakes without fear of him terrifying my children once again...
