Bedroom Bar reviews
I was surprised to find many good reviews for this place online as my experience was quite different. Yet I was less surprised once I came across the same positive reviews under different names elsewhere on the internet!
From my point of view the biggest problem are the bouncers. They seem to be provoking far more trouble than maintaining a safe environment. This is not really the sort of place that attracts troublemakers - i.e. it's mainly frequented by students and office workers, not chavs and yobs. I took the decision to remain fairly sober very early in the night after I observed the bouncers being very aggressive to girls who were drunk and made the fatal mistake of getting up on a chair purely for a pic to be taken. I saw 4-5 incidents of the bouncers exerting their authority on people who were simply enjoying themselves and causing no problems. Speaking to people who have had a drink in an aggressive manner for no real reason is, to me, totally out of order.
The drinks are overpriced for a non-West End venue. Poor service at the bar too - I didn't get served in under 15 mins any of the 6 times I approached the bar. The music was good and mixed, but all and all I'd never go back. I don't like places where you are scared to drink for fear of being targeted by power-hungry bouncers... and die of thirst for fairly rude bar staff. (Also, what does the image of an Indian Hindu god do for a Moroccan room?) Avoid this pretentious place at all costs!

Really enjoyed the Bedroom Bar. Went on a Saturday night. The live sax is a really fun touch and the people were really friendly. Unfortunately there was too much house music for my liking but it was sandwiched by funk music, which is always a plus. Most bars round Shoreditch are too pricey, too small and packed with self-obsessed idiots. This was an excellent respite.

Visited a few months back on a Friday. A nice little venue and a really nice crowd of people there. The music was superb - there was night called Armitage Skanks on - danced most of the night! The 1st floor terrace for smokers was a nice touch.

Saturday nights are the best, with Young Lee and Jake the Sax - great atmosphere! Absolutely love it!!

I was expecting far more after reading the good reviews. I went with a friend on Saturday night. If you're really into your house music you'll like it, otherwise it's quite shabby with limited decor and a tacky bed in the corner. There's nowhere to sit. Drinks aren't too expensive though.

I went there on Saturday and it was great. I read the reviews and wanted to go out for my birthday - I was not disappointed and would go again. The atmosphere is great, people are nice, a mixed culture, drink prices are ok and the food is served in big portions. We went at 9, it was free to get in and there was space to sit until about 10:30 /11, after which you pay (£3).
It was great - the best time in London I've had for a long time.

Went on a whim on a Friday night and felt immediately at home (though not like in my bedroom...). Very nice atmosphere, chilled people, very unpretentious. Will certainly go again!

This bar never dies due to the mind blowing music and the amazing DJ plus sax player. The two together are explosive. For £3 it's a bargain if ever I saw one :)

Top stuff, although if I`d drank less I'm sure I would recollect more. The sax player was great, some places this kinds thing doesn't work, but here it did, and the crowd were wicked!

Quality music, good drinks and reasonably priced. All this for an entrance fee of £3. Need I say more?

God I hated the bed bar - it is the absolute epitome of everything I hate about this sort of thing, and significantly, on every major point it is the polar opposite of a good pub serving good beer.....

I went here almost a year ago and am dying to return. It was crowded but the music was awesome, funky beats with a sax and what looked like a clarinet playing over the top. Amazing! Was very unhappy when the place closed and I had to go home. Would def recommend.

Proper music in this wee gem, soulful latin tinged stuff, broken beats, even heard some mellow underground resistance - wow! Will be returning sooner rather than later I hope.

Although a bit crowded, the music is what makes this place. I'm lost in my own little world upon arrival...
