Had my birthday drinks here. What a place! Fantastic waitress who looked after us. Really good tunes - not too loud that we couldn't chat as we downed our Mexican coffees and other amazing cocktails, but also not too soft that we couldn't have a bit of a dance. The area we had was a little weird at first as it was two tables across the way from each other, but everyone had a damn fine laugh later when we got more tables and took over the area.

The only problem is, it closes just after 12pm (when the party was really getting good). So make sure you have an afterparty planned. Otherwise, excellent.

Really great service. Really great drinks. Unpretentious. You couldn't ask for more in a central London cocktail bar. The area we reserved was lovely, ready on time, and service was faultless.

Good, if not extensive, cocktail list. It is however expensive.

I found the interior cosy but there wasn't a great deal of life in the place, even on a Friday night. Within spitting distance of cheaper bars that are also more fun.

I wasn't hopeful based on my friend's description of Detroit as a 'chilled out, cave-like basement bar' but it was better than I expected. Very cosy underground vibe, fairly good cocktails, good music and a friendly crowd.

I liked it enough to recommend it for my little sister's birthday party, which went down really well!
