Elbow Room (W2) reviews
Horrible, horrible service. Closes at 11pm on the dot on Saturday, and instead of warning you to finish up your game, they just turn off the lights. ALL the lights! I couldn't even see my jacket that was sitting on the bench next to the pool table. Good drinks and a nice ambiance, but not worth the hour and a half wait for a table to play for 40 minutes and THEN to get the lights turned off... I recommend going to the Elbow Room in Islington; this one is not very friendly to weekend visitors.
by shenanigans, 19 Feb 2007Great idea but too long a wait for a table! Decent food and drinks were excellent. Recommend going early during the week in order to get a decent session in, or book if it's a big crowd and you can guarantee a minimum bar spend.
by mr_benn (22 reviews), 13 Aug 2005Having misspent my youth playing pool in Bolton this wasn't what I expected when I was invited out for a night in a pool hall (nobody attacked anybody with a cue and the carpets didn't squelch, for a start). Really good idea, good tables, staff were friendly, music good but too loud.
