The Social N1 reviews
Went in the first time on Friday. Very impressed with the place, good decor and funky music.
I think a DJ plays there quite regularly, there is an upstairs bit, too. All staff are friendly, food is great and quite a good selection on the menu (the chicken and bacon burger is lush). You can see it being prepared by the chef, too.
Took friends there on the Sunday and played the pub quiz with games of bingo in the breaks (very good).
There is a really relaxed feel to the place. A great place to spend your evenings, you could go in there with your scruffies on or dressed up to the nines. A great place to have a night out.
I know it more as a great place to eat, with normally no difficulty getting a seat.
Tucked away in the backstreets, the interior is fab, with a kind of 40's wood panelling feel. Nice and spacious but cosy at the same time. More a gastro pub type feel than a bar I'd say. But whatever you want to call it, it's a great place for a night out away from the mainstream crowds of Islington.
Have we missed a great bar in London? Let us know.
