Brady's reviews
Overpriced (£15 for two small portions of takeaway cod and chips), poor quality (sad grey fish that's overcooked and dried out, dry tasteless chips), and completely disinterested staff. I used to come here years ago when the place was good; this is my first return since then. Won't be coming back. Very disappointing.
by Simon Featherstone, 16 May 2007Not great. The service was at best disinterested, bordering on rude. The decor is not 'retro', it is run down and unloved. The starters were just about OK but all three main courses ordered were grilled fish and all three were blackened and burnt to the point where they were almost inedible. Didn't bother with the dessert after that.
Extremely disappointing, as it was a 60th birthday meal for my mum. At nearly £70 for fish and chips for three, I was really expecting a great deal more. I think they have got complacent and stopped trying, as they have such a reputation - bit of a touch of the Emperor's new clothes as well. I would not go anywhere near the place again.
Fabulous retro-style fish and chip shop serving crispy chips and tasty fish without the greasy batter. Great value for money too.
