Had one great lunch in February. Went back in August for dinner, and while the food was very good, the wine waiter constantly up-sold us on wine. When we got to dessert he suggested champagne (because we were celebrating), and recommended a particular marque. We made it clear we wanted a glass each, he nonetheless brought and charged for the whole bottle. It soured the whole experience and we won't be going back.

Aubergine serves possibly the best food I've eaten in London (although I've still to get to eat at Gordon Ramsay's in Chelsea
Quite grown up atmosphere and clientele (you can't say it has a vibe - think pink shirted city types and ladies who've had boob jobs). But who cares - the food is exquisite and the restaurant with its large sky light is airy and calm. If you're stuck for a great place to take a date and haven't booked anything in time, try here.

Just amazing food - one of the best meals I've had in London or anywhere. Excellent, friendly service a great wine list and superb food made with good quality ingredients. Deserves a second Michelin star
and more recognition.

Immensely impressive food in a pleasant environment. Service was hard to fault and every course was practically perfect. It wasn't cheap but I'd highly recommend it to anybody.
