Giles Coren's review of Roussillon (The Times)
Roussillon reviews
The food and service were fantastic. We had the taster menu and found the whole experience quite wonderful. Happy to recommend the Roussillon and its staff to anyone.

by ilovefood (2 reviews), 09 Jun 2007Visited this restaurant on a Saturday at the beginning of November and, though the food and wine were good, the service was appalling. Ordered the menu degustation, waited 40 minutes before a wine list came over. Yes, that's 40 minutes from indicating our choice to being given a wine list. Halfway through the menu there was a 45 minute delay between courses, completely ruining the flow of the meal. Other diners received their courses, so it was clearly a mistake in the kitchen but no apologies or explanation were given.
Subsequently, we were last to leave the restaurant by a good margin and rather than make a scene in front of my guests, I opted to write a letter of complaint asking what had gone wrong in the kitchen. 6 weeks later and no response. I will not be returning and, unless I hear back from the restaurant soon, will ensure all my clients and contacts are aware of how shoddy their attitude really is.
Went here for my birthday last April and had the menu degustation, as did my girlfriend and parents, which was simply exquisite. Went here again this month with 4 others for dinner, and I have to say the food was not close to the standard it was last year. Having said that, we did order a la carte. Still though, it left something to be desired, especially considering the price, which relative to the quality of food did not merit such a hefty bill.
