Chelsea Ram reviews
I was recommended to go to the Chelsea Ram by a friend, and I was so glad I went. It was one of the most memorable gastronomic experiences I have ever had. The food was excellent. I would recommend the potted duck, which had a wonderful flavour and texture. For my main course I had sea bass, which was served with a potato cake and some sort of tomato salsa. The fish was cooked perfectly and the garnish complemented it well. The service was friendly and did not detract from a great meal and an altogether wonderful evening.

I have been to the Ram many times over the years and have to say I'm always made to feel very welcome. I love the beer and the food (especially the burger - can't beat the simple pleasures in life), and have never received a sub-standard pint or meal. Keep up the good work! I wish there were more pubs
like the Ram nearer my home.

I went here on Sunday to celebrate one of my best friend's 30th birthday, and I must say we were all rather disappointed and not sure what all the hype was about. We all went out of our way to this suburb local, thinking it was going to be incredible. I wouldn’t normally write a review (or, I’d write when it was good); however, after the not-up-to-scratch service and food received, we all did say our review must be put out there to the public.
My friend rang twice to ask to receive the menu, which was supposed to be a set one; however, it never arrived. Upon ringing to move back the booking an hour, her partner was told it was cancelled!! So the table was re-booked.
The waiter was good at letting us know what time the kitchen closed etc. However, when the food came out it was SO average. It was a shame, as everyone commented at the table. I think my favourite dishes were the hot chips and the bread - what does that say?! The roast beef was overdone, the tart was cold, and the mussels were overcooked. I know it was late in the day and we were a big group, but still...
Lots of other things happened, like my friend's credit card for behind the bar came out with the total food bill; we asked for a taxi to be ordered and then the guy just walked off and never did it; at one stage we tried to go to the bar and there was no one in the bar apart from us (acceptable if it's just a restaurant, but it’s a bar as well!).
So, in conclusion: it’s a lovely looking bar with lots of potential, but the service made me feel like we were a hindrance and the food was nothing special at all... pretty much like any pub in London, I’d say. I'd only recommend you to go if you’re in the area, or if it’s a small group of you for a quick, early lunch.

The best pub in Chelsea and possibly London. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere second to none. Get yourselves there in the New Year!

Fabulous pub - very good staff and excellent food. They've even got a special offer of FREE bitter from now until Christmas. Not to be missed.

Fabulous food, reasonably priced, and excellent service. Went on a busy Friday night and the atmosphere was terrific. Could do with something similar here in Sheffield to set new standards!

After a slight slump, the Chelsea Ram has returned to its old self. Food is the best it's ever been, service is provided by a team of friendly, cheery staff, and the atmosphere cosy.
