For hearty British fare with a touch of French paysanne flair head to Magdalen in Borough. The daily-changing menu features seasonal British ingredients and dishes as varied as de-shelled snails in garlic butter with roast bone marrow and lambs' tongues with white beans. The excellent wine list offers good value for money, with choices by the glass and by the half-bottle carafe.
Magdalen reviews
Really enjoyed my meal here. Staff are friendly, food is good and there is a great wine list. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful place! It's not a gastro pub though, this is a restaurant where a jacket would probably be a wise thought.
