The Oak reviews
Excellent Italian food, great ambiance and service. Great place to catch up with friends, as they don't rush you. There is also a very swanky bar upstairs for after dinner.
by GSK, 08 Nov 2007Nice pub, pretty average fare. The staff are friendly though and there is a nice vibe. The garden is fun in the warmer months and they have been known to run a BBQ at weekends from there as well. Upstairs restaurant was a bit dead and empty. Their Sunday 'Roast and a DJ' attracts a big crowd who pour onto the pavement outside.
by Capt T (4 reviews), 09 May 2007The best chocolate brownies I've ever tasted! Gorgeous warm atmosphere achieved through great lighting (mostly candles) and wooden furniture. Have been 3 times now and never once been disappointed with the amazing food.
by Anonymous, 11 Dec 2005Really good (if a little overpriced) pizzas, and nice atmosphere, but only if the waiters happen to not be having an argument. Don't go if you're planning on just having drinks or not all of you are eating, as the staff get a little snooty and make you feel unwelcome.
