The Rocket reviews
The food is consistently good and reasonably priced. Staff always friendly and the atmosphere is just right, either for a special occasion or just popping in somewhere for a quick bite. It's had its ups and downs, but for the past two years it's only been UP. It's the best local restaurant/pub by a long shot.

Let's be honest, it's the people that make pubs. This place attracts a suburban crowd and the staff made me cringe. The food was alright though.

Had lunch there and it was the best food ever. West End stuff at good prices. Would travel from Enfield every day for this. Well done!

Oh dear, very disappointing. I ate here last night. Service was incompetant, food mediocre and the bill far too high.

Service is slow but the food is worth the wait. The premise is a strange mix of décor, which neither offends or entices. But the loos are nothing short of horrible!

This place has lost the plot recently. Indifferent staff at the bar, incompetent in the dining room. Food was at best mediocre - and expensive for what you got. I won't be rushing back.

Very friendly welcome, quick service and superb food. Money and time well spent. Staff were as charming as the summer pudding!

Food consistently excellent, friendly service, great dining room. Bar is great too, but REALLY noisy, even when it's not crowded. Why don't they at least turn the music down - it's a pub not a club.

We travelled all the way from St. Petersburg, Russia, to see St. Paul's, Tate Modern and the Rocket! Great food, good choice of wines, beautiful interior, charming staff, funny games machine in the corner.

Went on a whim last Sunday - great weather outside, limited seating to enjoy it though! Decent real ale but my Sunday lunch took nearly an hour and when it finally arrived it was tepid and no great shakes...

Great food, especially the bread and butter pudding. The staff are lovely and welcoming and the decor fab. Really enjoyed a Sunday lunch with a group of friends here - perfect Sunday pub.

Lovely place, very good food, good and friendly atmosphere, has a distinctive character. The ony "minus" - very smoky in the bar area, this spoils the gastro experience, can be very noisy too.

Always lovely food, couple of tables outside are ideal for lazy summer afternoons. Bar can be a little smoky, but this does not affect the wonderful dining room. Gastro pubby food, v. tasty and a treat for an up and coming Acton.
