The TreeHouse restaurant in Barnes has everything and more that you'd expect from a gastropub: a seasonally changing menu with dishes created from quality ingredients; a global wine list to complement your meal; contemporary and ethnic art and furniture; a beer garden and an intimate atmosphere. Upstairs, a plasma screen playing children's films surrounded by comfy leather sofas provides a welcome distraction for children having lunch at the weekend.
Have been there many times and it never disappoints. Good food and nice decor. Great for a Sunday lunch or weekday supper.
Good, straightforward, really very well cooked food. Not pretentious like so many other places in the area. It's a nice change from the usual striving for awards rather than concentrating on cooking good food to fill our stomachs.
