Wigmore Sports reviews
Great service! Excellent, friendly staff who took time and effort to find me a racquet to suit my style of play. Good, solid advice. Love the hitting wall downstairs to try out racquets. Products not overpriced but RRP - you get what you pay for. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

Wigmore isn't your average sports shop! I've being buying racquets there for a few years now and the professional advice and service I have received there has been brilliant.

Really bad service. They really don't know what they are on about. Went to buy a replacement grip and was treated like an idiot. Not someone who has been playing for 20 years. I will be returning to my local friendly and competent shop. Avoid.

I have received very poor customer service. I took a couple of rackets out to demo and, although the deposit on them was explained, other parts of the 'financial transaction' were not. I now have to spend more money in the store when I would rather take my custom elsewhere.
To sum up: unclear and unhelpful staff in general, which - considering the current retail climate - is surely not sensible.

Going down hill. Should stop hiring foreign sales staff and start hiring people who can actually speak English and who actually know what they are talking about.

The service I received was shocking. I'm no expert on racquets, so I did some research before visiting the store. I was served by a foreign chap who promptly contradicted all the information I had gathered and seemed to recommend only the most expensive racquets (£200+). Needless to say, I will be taking my custom elsewhere and can only hope the rest of the staff are not as incompetent.

They have a great selection of racquets and they explain with a lot of detail and really make an effort to get you the right raquet. It is pricey though.

Excellent customer service - took ages explaining difference between tennis rackets. Room at the back to test rackets, or you may be able to borrow a demo racket. A little expensive, but try asking for a small discount. Each representative will of course give you a different recommendation - same as any racket shop. Only negative is there aren't many cheaper range rackets (below £60).

A fantastic store! I live in Ilkley, Yorkshire and work in London. It is a breath of freash air to receive good customer service in London. I think that the girls are great; I was so impressed by the service from one lady, that I even wrote part of a review for a course in customer service that she is studying through Wigmore Sports. The only upset was one of the racket people being very rude to another member of staff whilst I was present. Overall, good service and not too expensive.

Very bad. They use all technical words to show off, then instead of giving you the racket you want they'll give you the most expensive one. They actually don't know much about tennis but just learn all the jargon to impress.

The best customer service I have found in a shop in a very long time. They take time to understand your needs and have a wide selection of products, allowing you as much choice as possible. I would definitely recommend and will shop here again and again.

This store has developed an arrogant attitude beyond the pale and couldn't care less about customer service. Far from their origins, when they wanted repeat business, they know they are now one of only a few proper tennis suppliers left since Lillywhites has fallen into total sports equipment disarray, and have become complacent. So be it. Neither I nor any of my team members will purchase here again.

They had a hard time understanding which racquet I wanted but otherwise not bad.
