After many years of having facials, and never being 100% happy, my sister and I went to Cobella in Kensington. We both had Oxygen facials - by Georgia and Faye - and were astounded by the results. Not only were the girls highly professional and knowledgeable, we were made to feel completely relaxed and at home. Will definitely be going back, and recommending the girls to all our friends!

I've been going to Cobella for about 7 years now and have only ever had a great cut and colour there. It is expensive, but the results are fantastic. I see Adam, and can't recommend him enough!

I've never been disappointed with a cut or colour at this friendly salon. It is a bit expensive, but you pay for the quality of the cut. Recommend Sebastian for cut and colour in Kensington and Aaron for cut at Selfridges.

I have never written a review of a salon or service before. However, after the appalling service I received at Cobella in Kensington, I feel compelled to. I went for a blow dry this week and had clip-in extensions put in at the end of the blow dry. This generally takes an extra five to ten minutes on top of the blow dry, which it did. When I went to pay, I was told the price would be £40 for the blow dry and £85 to put in the extensions. I looked at the receptionist as if she was clearly mad, as she was the one who had told me when I made the appointment that the cost of putting in the extensions would be an extra few pounds, probably around £5. I pointed this fact out to her and all she could repeat was, yes, that’s what I told you, but I was wrong. She eventually reduced the price down to £80, which is still a complete rip off as I have short hair. However, as I had a plane to catch, I didn’t have time to take this up with management.

Given the numerous great hair salons in this area, I can’t imagine how Cobella maintains a clientele if this is the attitude they take with clients. She mentioned something about this being a five star salon. By no means would I classify Cobella as a high-end salon in terms of décor or service.

I had an appointment with Maria today for highlights. Well, I have NEVER left a salon so happy and so confident before! My colour was absolutely amazing, Maria really knew what I wanted and I was speechless for the first time. WOW... Book in with Maria if you want perfect colour. I am so impressed. Best money I have spent in a long time!

I had the most fantastic cut at Cobella in Selfridges today. It really did make me look 10 years younger and the staff were lovely. Full marks to the upbeat and talented Sebastian. I will be back!

I stumbled on Cobella in Selfridges while I was frantically trying to get to an important business meeting. I needed a blowdry! Very unlike any other department store hairdressers in that the team here really are experts and not the normal uninterested sort you get in these places. I shall be going back for MORE!

I was treated to a hair makeover at Cobella Selfridges for my birthday. I thought that nothing could be done with my over-bleached short hair. How wrong. I came out looking a new woman, and my hair was in wonderful condition thanks to a new Brazilian treatment. Staff were friendly and courteous, and there were many little extras given free which other salons charge for. I shall definitely recommend to friends.

Went to the Selfridges salon on Saturday and had the most awful haircut by a hairdresser called Jason. He took just over 20 mins to cut and blow dry and it cost £77 - a real waste, as he barely did anything. Was so disappointed and will certainly not be going back again. So weird... you would think they'd want to impress first time customers.

It's a while since I visited the Cobella Salon in Kensington but I did have one of the best haircuts of my life (to date), largely because the stylist actually did what I asked rather than than trying to impose her will on me. The downside is that if you're an 'average Joe' (or Jill in my case) you get the feeling you're not exactly top of the food chain, and I DO expect to be treated as if I were their number one client if I'm paying exactly the same as the celebs!

Always have had good experiences at Cobella Selfridges. Used to get my hair cut by Timothy but he's left now, so this time had Sebastian, who was good too. They are pleasant, the shampoo/head massage is always amazing, and the beverages are good too! Very relaxing and comfortable experience.

The Selfridges Cobella is really the coolest hair salon. Fantastic staff and amazing little touches that make it a fun experience. I really liked the massage chair that I sat in while my colour developed - it had a computer connected to the internet and it made the otherwise boring wait a pleasure. Super hair colour by the way!

A wonderful experience which truly made me feel and look '10 Years Younger', from the excellent colour by Maria to the new style by Runar and an amazing facial by Georgia. Try these guys and you will never go anywhere else.

I visited Cobella at Selfridges yesterday, and was appalled by the service. The colourist dyed my hair almost black (several shades darker than my original hair colour), when we had agreed I would go dark blonde! And to top it off, she was rude and defensive, stating I had changed my story when I pointed to my hair in shock and said that wasn't what I had asked for! £100 down the drain and my hair is ruined!

I went to Cobella in Kensington and was very happy when I left. Everybody was very professional and my stylist the best. I went inside looking very normal and I left so happy with the experience that I couldn't stop smiling. My friend recommended it to me - she's been going there for a long time and has never been unhappy after a visit to the salon.

I recently had a blow dry at Cobella in Selfridges. I had an important meeting in the City and naively thought that the standard of work in a top salon would outweigh my own efforts. How wrong I was! Had a reasonable wash/scalp massage, nice cup of tea... and then a blow dry my 11-year-old daughter could have improved upon! The stylist BACKCOMBED my hair at the crown. Truly, it was appalling. And the cost for this 40-minute visit? £55. (Yes, that's right, £55.)

I went to Cobella in Selfridges last week for a birthday treat. I had an all-over colour, which was fine. On the phone they'd quoted me £60 for colour and £30 for a blowdry. I thought: why not, it's a treat. The guy who did my blowdry didn't seem interested in how I styled my hair, and despite my request for a side parting and my fringe swept to one side he gave me a middle parting and fringe in my eyes. And then to add insult to injury my bill came to over £120! RIP OFF!! I didn't enjoy the experience one bit, the salon was deathly quiet and I had to ask for a glass of water and magazine. One good point: the blonde guy who shampooed me was charming and chatty, and actually made me feel like I was a welcome client.

I won't return. Overpriced and a waste of money.

Terrible colour - horizontal bands, bleeds, orange stripes - on an already blonde, just with slightly longer than normal roots. Rude and ridiculous staff ("When you leave here, you will look more beautiful than you ever looked in your whole life"...). Left looking like a dog's dinner. When I got home and saw how awful it was, I went back, someone took one look at my hair and they gave me an immediate full refund. Here's the shocker: it was the senior colour technician that did my hair!

On reading the ensemble of mixed reviews I took the plunge and headed to Cobella in Selfridges. A friend who is a loyal and long-term client of the salon highly recommended me to give it a try.

For someone who has visited many salons and never left truly satisfied, I was completely impressed from start to finish. On entering the salon it was a buzz of activity and I was greeted warmly and offered a range of different refreshments, which for once I wasn't charged for. My stylist did both the cut and colour and it was simply perfection. I was given the world's best scalp massage, which is one of the highlights of my salon experience.

I think these guys are great and will most certainly be going back!

I went to Cobella in Selfridges and I was very disappointed. First of all they made a mistake in the booking, so I had to wait for nearly an hour. The haircut was not what I wanted and the fringe was so short I looked terrible. I am not going back.
