Cobella Akqa reviews
Top marks to Cobella at Selfridges
for their wonderful, sensitive wig fitting service. My mother is undergoing chemotherapy and we needed a wig. Gary at Selfridges
was very caring and professional and made the whole ordeal more than bearable. It was good to go to a fashion salon and to have the expertise of stylists to modify the wig too. Thanks Gary, the world needs to know about you!

I've been getting my nails done by Jolita for some time now and she is AMAZING! Wouldn't go to any other salon or have any other person touch my nails except her. She is friendly, professional, and does an awesome job with my nails.

Had to tell everyone about the great nail artists at Cobella in Selfridges
. I wanted ny nails and toes to match the lace pattern on my wedding dress! Tried so many salons who claim to do nail art, with poor results (even I could have done better). Someone at my office recommended Oxsana at Cobella. So I trotted along to the third floor in Selfridges
fully expecting another disaster, but boy was I blown away. Oxsana is an artist. I would like to be able to peel off each nail and frame them. I am booked in for my wedding nails in August and can't wait to show everyone. The nails she does in gel are thin and natural looking. She would get 10 stars if I could give them.

Had my hair cut with Mark at Cobella Selfridges
. Best cut I've ever had! This guy is worth his weight in gold. I've always had long hair but he advised me to go short and it was the best decision I've ever made. Mark, you've changed my life for the better. I advise everybody to go visit Mark for a cut - you'll never look back!

Just had an amazing facial with Virginie at Cobella. She has magic hands. Thank you.

I have been going to Drew at Cobella in Selfridges
for years. I live in Chicago, but visit London just about every other month for work. As soon as I get off the plane I make a beeline for Cobella. Drew is amazing! He completely understands his clients, what they want and what will look good on them. He is honest, sincere, and super sweet.
Drew has done Brazilian Keratin straightening, he has cut my hair, added extensions, and colour. No one in the States does colour like Drew. His blow out is beyond perfect. If you are a person that stresses about your hair, or have problem hair (I have very fine, thin hair), Drew is the person you will want to book with. He will make you feel calm, relaxed and happy. Not a day goes by when I don't get a compliment on my hair. There is nothing better than leaving the salon with amazingly silky-smooth, blown out hair.
The salon itself is a fabulous oasis that will take you away from the concrete jungle of Oxford Street. Treat yourself, don't rush, and enjoy this fabulous experience.

Thank you so much, Cobella, for your stylist Andrew in Selfridges
. He is the best! Whenever my mum is in London she goes straight away to Cobella. The service is brilliant. My mum does look better and all her friends compliment her on her hair. Thank you Andrew!

Once again a lovely hair cut and colour at Cobella. The stylists there really know their job, and although it is a very busy environment they always make you feel welcome and special.

The high staff turnover is a massive problem not only in Cobella but everywhere in London, because companies squeeze employees and they put them in strong competition among themselves. The result is stressed out people and awful service.

Last night at 8pm in Selfridges
had an amazing cut and blowdry with Ekaterina. Firstly amazed that I can get such great service at 8pm at night and secondly surprised at the quality of cut for a department store... Rock on Cobella.

I love Cobella. I have visited this salon for over 12 years. The owner, Anestis, is always approachable and seems to understand that a woman's hair is the most important part of her beauty regime. He always has great stylists and I have never really been disappointed; on the one occasion I was a little miffed, I was treated very well and he ensured my hair was looked after for many months until I was happy.

I bought the Groupon voucher and went in for a half head of highlights, cut and blowdry. My stylist's name was Elena, and she did such an amazing job – the cut and the styling was incredible! I left looking like a movie star (face and body aside!), my hair has never looked that good before. And despite my 11am appointment, my hair still looked amazing when I rocked home from a club at 4am... I’ll be going back if I can save up enough money to pay full price!

Went to Cobella Selfridges
and got a full head colour with Jason and a cut and blow dry with the junior stylist, Michael. It was amazing. They both had a chat with me before my hair was touched, and they did it together so they knew what each other was going to do.
Apart from my amazing hair colour and cut, both Michael and Jason had me laughing all the way through my service. I have already booked my next appointment. Only downside is that the salon is in desperate need of a makeover.

Agree with Andi, Mark is a sensation. I wonder if I should be telling everyone this, as I want to keep him to myself! The salon in Selfridges
is in need of updating but the staff and professionalism is fantastic and a credit to Selfridges
. Department stores are notorious for not having great hair salons, but this is truly different. Go, you won't be disappointed.

The delectable Mark has just cut and styled my hair in Cobella Selfridges
. I came out feeling fantastic and wanted to share it with everyone else... I shall be having him as my regular stylist.

I'd been looking for a new salon and Groupon had a very good offer, so thought I'd try Cobella in Kensington. I was very disappointed. Firstly I was given a manicure. I've had many manicures and always my nails would be bathed in soapy water prior and the cuticles would be pushed down. Not at Cobella. It was a quick file of each nail followed by 2 layers of varnish. The haircut was even worse. I now have a bob with an incredibly short layer at the back that does not graduate properly to the long hair at the front. Never again.

Went to Cobella a couple of days ago for highlights and a haricut (Groupon offer). Highlights are OK, and Louis, the stylist who did them for me, was lovely. I should also mention the lovely assistant George who only washed my hair, but what a sweet guy! Had a great chat with him. I would give them both 5 out of 5, but the lady who did my haircut... not happy at all!
She didn’t listen to me when I tried to explain how much of my hair I wanted cut and I emphasised that I didn’t want layers. Well, I ended up with a lot shorter hair and very pronounced layers. Then, after my blow dry I looked like I'd just got out of bed. She really didn’t do a good job! Definitely not going back there for a haircut! (I wonder if katie2 and I had our hair cuts with the same lady?)

I went to Cobella last week to get my makeup and eyebrows done. The Indian girl, Priya, did an amazing job on my eyebrows, both threading and tinting them. They looked amazing, and my makeup was outstanding too. I'm from the USA and have never had such perfect eyebrows and makeup done, even in US. She completely changed my look. I was so happy, she made my day. I'd like to say thanks to Priya, and I will definitely recommend my friends to her as well.

It seems to be a problem at Cobella that the staff turnover is unusually high - you can rarely get the same stylist twice.

I went to Cobella in Kensington on a Groupon offer. I had highlights which were ok, though a bit ginger. The cut was terrible, done with a razor. I had been growing my hair all one length and the senior director basically cut all these layers in which I hadn't asked for. It'll take me 6 months to grow out. Will not return there.
