OK - you want someone who really understands and CARES about colour? Then you've got to see Kornelia at Fordham, a terrific, sweet-natured girl who started out at Fordham and has risen to the top by doing great and utterly reliable work. She's especially perceptive to men's hair problems.

I went to Kris at Fordham last week - AMAZING. As I'm sure everyone is, I was really apprehensive trying out a new salon, but he put me totally at ease and knew exactly what to do to my hair. On top of the great cut, it's the best blow dry I've ever had. I won't be moving to another stylist again!

I have recently had my hair cut by Alex Croucher at Fordham and I have been so very happy with the style, I would never dream of going to any other stylist. I have been having my hair cut with Alex for years and was so happy to find her again in Soho. She always knows exactly what I want and I always leave the salon with the perfect haircut. She is such an amazing, personable and friendly person, I wish I could get my hair done every week! I would highly recommend Alex to anyone, she's an absolute star!

I had my hair coloured by Alex, who is new to the salon, and it was great. She listened but also advised, she was pleasant, and I've already booked to go and have my hair cut by her again. (I booked in to go there based on reviews that I had read here, so I thought I would now add my own.)

Colin is a fantastic stylist. He listens, understands one's wishes and needs and has a great attention to detail. I've gone in with a really poor cut that needed rescuing. On top, I have a very fine, oily, wavy hair and was after a natural style that doesn't need a lot of attention. I wash my hair every day and the last thing I wanted was to spend time blow-drying it (fine and oily is by far the worst combination). Colin did it so so well it's unreal. I can walk out of shower, towel dry it and am ready to go. However, for a bit of glamour, can easily do a great style myself. Very impressed with what's been done and can't wait to go back!

I asked the girls in the office for recommendations on where to go for a hair cut. Being new to the area, however, no one could recommend where I should take my very long brown hair to. But thanks to this website, it didn't take long for me to book via email for a next day appointment at Fordham Soho.

I have just returned, and my hair has been transformed! Alex, my stylist, listened to everything I wanted and has knocked the nail on the head. My new hair is perfect - not too contemporary, whilst elegant and sophisticated. I have already booked my next appointment for half a head of highlights!

Fantastic salon, comfortable, fun and down to earth... a lovely break from the stressful office environment. 10/10

James has just moved to Fordham Soho from Epsom and I have followed him despite the train journey. For one so young, he is a bit of a wizard and really understands understated glamour when it comes to hair. I have lots of silver and he works with it so there's no obvious re-growth and I feel rejuvenated!

I cannot recommend Colin Smith at Fordham Soho highly enough.

Unfortunately I am one of those people who are not blessed with great hair and, after visiting numerous salons with no good results, had developed a huge fear of going to the hairdressers (akin to going to the dentists!). All I wanted was someone who would look at my face shape and my hair type and cut a style that would make me look better, not worse! I went to Colin at Fordham when I moved to London after a friend recommended both him and the salon itself, and will never go anywhere else ever again.

Colin is one of those people who make you feel instantly at ease. Rather than sneer at my over-straightened hair and obvious split ends, he asked me what I was after and ACTUALLY LISTENED! (Shock horror!) I described how I wanted it to look and he took it on board and suggested a slightly different variation on it, explaining that changing the length just slightly would make my hair sit better. He was COMPLETELY right (as ever) and I was astounded! I was shampooed by one of the fantastic assistants (who are always friendly, chatty, considerate and thoroughly pleasant) and he proceeded to cut the most fantastic hairstyle I've ever had. My friends were astonished and I received so many lovely compliments.

I've been going to Colin for over a year now and the rest, as they say, is history. He doesn't just 'cut and blow dry' and send you on your way. Colin cuts, styles and sculpts to the point of perfection and will not finish until he is completely satisfied with the style. I still can't believe the absolute precision with which he cuts - he is truly a master and complete miracle worker.

Colin has been cutting my hair now for about 5 years. I followed him to Fordham's when he moved there a year or so ago.

He is a consummate professional, dedicated to providing a great end result - which he achieves every time without fail. He has that rare combination of creativity and attention to detail, whilst allowing you to feel completely at ease.

The salon has a feeling of openness and is non-pretentious, whilst achieving the feel of a top quality salon - which it is. After trying lots of salons and hairdressers over the years in London, this is by far the best I have experienced. So much so, that I and my girlfriend now travel from Weymouth to see Colin!

I have been going to Fordham Soho since my stylist Kris, with whom I have always been exceptionally happy, moved here from a salon in Essex. Kris always knows exactly what to do with my fine, floppy hair and makes me feel comfortable with any changes of style he suggests. As a creative stylist I would say he is excellent, and this move to Fordham has boosted his creativity. I will trust no one else with my difficult hair, and recommend him to all my friends... even with the added travel to the West End. A lovely salon and great atmosphere also help make it a pleasant experience.

I have just followed James to Fordham Soho from his previous salon in Epsom, Rush! I would recommend him to anyone. As someone who used to have low self confidence about my looks, James has absolutely transformed how I look and feel about myself and I would not go to anyone else as I totally trust him. He is a fantastic creative hairdresser and really takes the time to understand what you want and always gives me a fantastic service that make me feel special. I love that each time he cuts my hair I walk away feeling like a million dollars. He has really boosted my confidence by giving me hairstyles I can manage at home and, most importantly, that suit me! I can't recommend him enough. The salon is also fantastic, with really friendly staff.

I have been going to Fordham Soho for a couple of years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. Colin Smith was actually my hairdresser at his previous salon. I was always extremely impressed with him and so when he moved I moved with him.

I have been bleaching my hair for almost 6 years and am EXTREMELY fussy about how it gets done! In that time I have been to various hairdressers and nobody has ever done it as well as Colin. I like my bleach to look clean and even and as light as possible. With Colin it always looks beautiful and the condition still looks great considering what I've been doing to it all this time! He is also a really nice guy, great to have a chat to and a laugh with and cuts the best damn fringe that you will ever see in your life... Just don't all run at once and pinch my appointment slots!

Highly, highly recommended.

Having read the last few rave reviews of Adam, as a very nervous haircut-ee I decided to take the plunge and trust him with my precious locks. The man is a genius. I actually got wolf-whistled 3 times in the first 10 minutes out of the salon (that NEVER happens!)

I am extremely an extremely difficult customer in that I want to have lovely hair that looks entirely natural and that gives me no work whatsoever (i.e. wash and run). Adam knew precisely what I had in mind and created a cut that suited me better than I could have hoped. He also provided a delightful hour or so of conversation alongside. I will be coming back regularly and can't recommend him highly enough.

Up until around 8 years ago I was someone who sat in a hairdresser's chair rigid with fear: every time I had ever had my hair cut I would immediately go home and 'do it' myself. And then I met Colin Smith, now manager of Fordham Soho. I have never once let anyone else near my hair because, quite frankly, he is the only person on the planet who does it right. I have followed him to whichever salon he has worked in, so only met the Fordham crew in the last year since Colin has been there. In that time I have witnessed his success in managing a great team in a brilliant, creative atmosphere and clearly they all know what they're doing and they do it well. Definitely my tip-top recommendation.

Based on the previous reviews, and a number of past disappointments in hair salons, I thought I would give Fordham Soho a try.

I booked an appointment for a hair cut and colour with Adam. Adam is amazing. We had an initial discussion, where he was very attentive to what I had to say and enthusiastic about putting forward his great ideas for improving my hair texture/colour and having a corrective haircut which better suited my face shape. He was very professional and every action he took, he did it with care and attention. He is also an interesting person to talk to, so the whole salon experience was just great.

The end result was fantastic. I absolutely love my new hair style, and it’s the best I've had in London so far. All my friends love it and my boyfriend can’t stop complimenting it! Highly recommended!

I moved back to London not long ago after a long 9 year stint in Oz with the dilemma of 'who will cut and colour my hair' now plaguing me... Lucky me, Adam 'the Aussie' who was my incredible hairstylist and colourist in Sydney moved here too and started at Fordhams! I made an appointment for his first day on the job!

I have long curly hair which really needs nurturing in both colour and cut, and for years now Adam has done just that since I discovered him in Sydney. And he continues to do so here. Always looking at my hair with fresh eyes every time I see him, never formulaic, always creative and evolving, Adam always listens and ALWAYS ends up with brilliant results. I recommend him to everyone... and everyone says the same. He's the new man in town you need to adopt as your hair man!! The only down side, my friends in Sydney are gutted he's left - they don't know who they will ever find to give them such a good cut/colour now!

Just had my hair cut and coloured at the Fordham Soho salon, and WOW!! This is by far the best hairdressing salon I have ever been to, and Adam (fellow Aussie) is by far the best hairdresser that has ever done my hair. Adam is amazing. Straight away he had suggestions and I felt completely safe in his hands to let him do what he thought would suit me. The result is simply stunning.

After being in London for over 5 years, it's taken me that long to find a great hairdresser, and I am so glad I finally have. If you are looking for a great stylist with an awesome personality, head to see Adam at Fordham Soho - trust me, you won't regret it!

After going to every hairdressers in Surrey, I decided to look on the internet as desperately needed to find a decent hairdresser. On browsing the internet came across Fordham Soho, which looked really funky. I went along and had Aussi Adam and have never looked back. He is a fantastic hairdresser with lots of experience and a great personality. Even 2 girls from work went to him after seeing what a great cut he did. I would highly recommend him.

Just got my first ever cut fringe! Amazing, and done by Janice Tee - apparently the newest art director at Fordham Soho. She is a great colourist too. Had a couple of hours of relaxed and enjoyable chat. I will definitely be going again to see my new stylist and colourist. Brilliant.

Wow, I'm impressed!! I always had a normal haircut, but then I finally decided to have a NEW one. A friend of mine recommended Fordham Soho, and so I ended up there with this amazing hairdresser, Adam, a really nice guy from Australia. I didn't have a clue how I wanted my hair, so I decided to just trust him and let him do his work. And the result? Amazing. Heads turn when I walk down the street. I can definitely recommend him! Also, the ambience was really nice there.
