Mahogany Hair Salon London (Mayfair)

Had a fabulous hair cut by Jack, the best I have ever had. Would not go anywhere else now. Also, a brilliant consultation with the colourist and an amazing colour. Highly recommended!

Agree with the other reviewer, not long hair specialists. 'Am I bovvered?' attitude. Avoid at all costs if you care about your hair.

My second visit to Mahogany has definitely been my last! What a disaster. I have a hair cut that has huge disconnected layers, a really really short fringe and a strange page boy shape at the back. Not what I thought I was getting at all. Certainly won't go back, even to get it corrected, as I would rather cut my losses and go elsewhere at my expense. Nightmare!

Had the worst haircut of my life at Mahogany. Told the stylist to keep the length as I was trying to grow my hair, but he hacked it off and gave me layers so I now look like I have mushroom hair! Would never go back and would never recommend it.

Mahogany is the best salon I have ever been to. I hate the 'stuck up' atmosphere in most Mayfair/West End salons, but in Mahogany they're all lovely. I had my hair cut by the international creative director and coloured by the senior stylist. My hair is GORGEOUS. I'm now a regular. Oh, and they serve the best cookies with their drinks too!

Been to Mahogony several times for cut and colour. Always pleased with my haircut and level of service. However, will not go back for colour. Colourist not that good and seemed to only be able to to do bleach blonde or mousy brown, not the in-between honey caramel blonde I kept asking her for. A shame, as I spent a fortune on highlights but the colourist was never able to get it right.

The worst hair cut I have ever had. I said I wanted to keep the length, but she took four inches off and gave me a cut and length that doesn't suit me at all. I would never go there again.

Average. Felt kind of ripped off. Better service and surroundings (though not better cuts) at nearby Nicky Clarke for not much more.

Had a great cut at Mahogany - this was my first visit - and with the junior! Got a great cut, closely supervised by the instructor who was very caring and professional. Friendly staff, unpretentious unlike many of the other nearby salons. Most refreshing - will definitely go back!

Awful cut. Had to subsequently go elsewhere to try to sort out the mess they made of my hair. Not recommended.

Got a beautiful haircut! The team were friendly and nice and managed to finish my haircut hours before my flight. It was my first time with Mahogany and I'll definitely be going back again on my next visit to London.

I have been going to Mahogany for over 10 years and would not let anyone else touch my hair. Great cut, great colour and fabulous service. I cannot recommend this salon highly enough!

Went in for an expensive haircut a few months ago. Had a senior stylist who spent the whole time looking at herself in the mirror, and pushing me into buying products. The haircut is certainly not the best I've ever had, if not one of the most boring, and it hasn't grown too nicely either. I will not go back.

The only thing that I enjoyed at Mahogany was having my hair shampooed. The guy that cut my hair took off more than I had agreed and gave me loads of layers that I cannot manage in the morning, after I clearly stated I just wanted a trim.

I have nothing but praise for Mahogany. I had visited another hair salon for a colour, with very bad results. I called Mahogany in distress and they managed to see me almost straight away. The problem was rectified and my new hair cut was fantastic. Service was great, and information given on how to care for my hair for the future was informative. Definitely worth a visit.
