I sent my niece and daughter to have their hair cut and highlighted. I have to agree with the negative review from urbantwinkle. The colour after £200 was the same with no difference, the cut was just ok. Can't recommend. For the price, was very disappointed!

I was greeted with a glass of champers and I departed with the best hairstyle I've had in years! I just wanted to say thank you to my fabulous stylist, Francesca, who was ultra friendly and full of fantastic ideas (I loved the colour and the cut), and also to Taylor Taylor for an excellent hair salon experience. I will most definitely be coming back!

I haven't been to Taylor Taylor for about a year due to working away, but I have been having my hair cut there for quite a few years and it is the best.

As someone who finds heading to the hairdressers a bit of a chore, Taylor Taylor on Commercial St was quite a revelation. The salon itself is vibrant and stylish and the reception staff are really welcoming - it's only seconds before you're comfortably seated and your whistle wet! My stylist, Francesca, was really professional, full of ideas, honest and clear about what she planned to do. She worked really hard to make me happy, even though I can be difficult! I left feeling pampered and relaxed. Now can't wait to get back. Thank you Francesca and everyone at Taylor Taylor!

I have been coming here for three years now and it never fails to disappoint me. I still say this is the best hair salon in London and quite probably the friendliest as well.

I visited the beauty parlour at Taylor Taylor and it was by far the best salon experience I have ever had. I think my therapist's name was Shamal (sorry if I spelt it wrong). She was extremely professional, extremely friendly and completely put me at ease. Will definitely recommend her to all my friends and work colleagues.

I had the best highlights ever with the head technician Hannah. I am extremely fussy and normally always feel unhappy with my colour services but Hannah did the neatest, quickest highlights ever and I am so pleased I have finally found an excellent colourist! Many thanks...

By far the most warm and friendly salon I have ever been to. I always leave with a wonderful haircut and an ego boost!

Over the past 4 years, I've spent one of them travelling back to Glasgow to get my hair cut, and the rest trying out Spitalfields hairdressers.
Hurwundeki was lovely but the haircuts never lasted more than a week or two. Urban haircutters was good, but my stylist left and other stylists seemed slightly off-ish. My friends all go to Vision and like it, but I tried Taylor Taylor and for the past two years have had my hair cut by Ricky. He really is everything you'd want in a stylist: friendly, listens to what you want, is not forceful, and - importantly - delivers what you want! I've always had long hair; my last cut took it shorter, and it's exactly what I envisioned.
P.S. My cuts were so good they could last for 5 months, with a free fringe cut a couple of times in between.

I love Taylor Taylor! I just visited the Cheshire Street branch after not having been to the hairdressers for a year. My stylist, Drew, listened and gave me exactly the look I was after, as well as giving me advice on how to style my hair after I left the salon and how to fix my brassy blonde home dye job! Can't wait to go back for my next visit.

I absolutely love Taylor Taylor - it brings a whole new meaning to 'visiting the hairdresser'. The service and the staff make you feel like an old friend, the interior is stunning and I love the cocktail bar! My hair is always great when I leave and I always feel like a rock chick after I have had my hair done. The stylists are exceptional at what they do. Thanks Taylor Taylor!

Last week I had a hair cut at Taylor Taylor Cheshire Street. I was treated very well by the blonde assistant who looked after me throughout, and by Danny who cut my hair - I thought he was just amazing. Finally I have the haircut I was looking for for so long. I will definitely go back.

A visit to the wonderful Taylor Taylor in Commercial Street is always such a treat. The cocktails and cinnamon liqueur coffee are great and the haircuts are always fantastic.
I have had a couple of stylists now. Most recently Craig, who was wonderful - great conversation and amazing cut.
As the person below said, best hair salon in London.

Having read the reviews on here I was truly excited about trying out Taylor Taylor this weekend. However, sadly, the reviews didn't match my experience.
The atmosphere was pretty hectic when I got there - too many clients vs. seats - but just thought there was a bit of a backlog. The chaps on reception were friendly and offered me drinks etc, so was quite happy to start with.
I left the airy upstairs which was a little full and went downstairs to an even busier environment with people having to shuffle round seats and squeeze in corners - it honestly felt like a mad house!
I then met my colourist who seemed like a nice fella. We talked about what I wanted and then he went ahead, putting about 20 foils in my hair and an all-over gloss.
After 20 minutes cooking off I go to be washed off in the very fab-looking wash room to find that room backlogged with clients standing waiting (never experienced that before at a hairdressers) and then once in the seat was told the boiler was broken and the water was cold. OK, the water wasn't freezing but it certainly was on the cool side! The chap washing my hair was very friendly and kept saying sorry for the cold water.
So then it was back in to the crazy downstairs room for my haircut. My stylist had a quick chat with me about what I wanted and then started going into cut mode. (I was very surprised the fella who coloured my hair didn't come over to check the end result at all!)
Hair was cut, slight sweeping fringe put in, and then a really lovely blow dry. (Incidentally, my stylist did say that the boiler had broken down at least five times recently and nobody was doing anything to fix the cold water situation at the washing stations! Nice.) So I just kept thinking, hectic experience but my hair was looking ok-ish and the blowdry was awesome.
However, upon going upstairs to pay, to my utter shock and horror the price I was told had nearly doubled! I asked why it was so expensive and was told my foils were classed as a 'full head'! OMG - full head of 20 foils. Crikey. So I had an all-over gloss plus the price of a full head. I really didn't know what to do and so graciously paid, walking out feeling upset and angry by this price. I debated with myself about going back but hey, guess the British 'no complaining' kicked in and I didn't.
So, this morning washed my hair as normal and the colour is pretty much identical to what I went in with. Not the rich glossy dark brown and teased blonde bits through it. The cut in its normal glory is awful too - the fringe is wonky and not blended in and looks horrid.
I'm rather upset by the whole utter disappointment. It certainly wasn't a £200 experience, and the end result is really anything but great. I won't be going back. My £200, I'm sure, would be better spent in other salons in London. Wish I’d had the experience of other reviewers!!

Was apprehensive about getting my hair cut by somebody else after my stylist left the UK, but my friend recommended me to the Cheshire Street Taylor Taylor. I needn't have worried, as I was made to feel super special and not just like another punter. Claire made my hair fabulously shiny and lustrous and Danny cut my hair just like the picture I ashamedly brought in. Highly recommended.

Simply the best hair salon in Shoreditch, East London, indeed the whole of London! Had a haircut with Ricky, who is simply amazing, and highlights with the brilliant colour technician Michelle, absolutely superb also. Recommend this superior hair salon to all for its amazing customer service and ambiance.

I have just been treated to a fabulous colour and an amazing haircut at the Cheshire Street salon. I have to say the salon is so much more relaxed than the other one - smaller and cosier - and I will DEFINITELY be returning. Antonio has given me the best highlights I have had in years and Drew has made my hair look amazing!

For ladies with long hair, I'd recommend Francesca. She's great and totally just gets it.
My only criticism: there was a voucher on their website for 20% discount on your first visit; however, they told me I couldn't use it because it was only valid for off-peak hours, which they claimed was stated on the website. But I double-checked when I got home, and it definitely wasn't.

Just had my hair cut by John-Paul and coloured by David. Both were amazing. Although I wasn't really able to explain what I wanted, they somehow managed to make it absolutely perfect. Customer service from all staff was brilliant - drinks offered regularly, polite, etc. They were running late, but that didn't lead to them rushing me, and just showed they were being thorough. I would definitely recommend them and go back again!
