I have been a client of W&M for a few years and MJ always does a brilliant job. I noticed the cost of the hair cut had risen considerably over six months so emailed the salon to see if there might be any compromise on the price. Paul Windle personally replied and offered a generous solution. This is more than I was expecting, and made me feel a valued client. Excellent customer service and quality cut. I won't be trying any other salon!

I was interested in getting a Brazilian Blow Dry and read a lot of reviews online. I saw some great reviews for Windle & Moodie on several sites, so I decided to fill in their form online and ask them if it's possible for me to meet one of their consultants to get an idea about the price, product etc. I never got a response from the form I filled in (funny, they say on their site that they're very 'happy' to hear from their customers!).
Anyway, I work long hours, so it's difficult for me to visit the salon, but I was very interested in going there. I left work earlier than usual today and went to Covent Garden (again, not easy for me as I don't live in Central London). Once there, I was told by the girl on the reception that the 'consultant' was too busy and that I would need an appointment to see him. That's understandable, I had just shown up without an appointment. But I decided that trying twice and getting no response was enough. If they don't want my business (£250-£300), I'll just take it elsewhere, thank you very much.

I went to W&M for the first time last week and had my hair cut by Fran. I had shoulder-length, wildly curly grey hair and was relieved when it was clear that Fran really did know about curly hair. I was so confident in Fran's knowledge that I was happy to give him free rein, with very little input from me other than the odd adjective at the beginning to give him a flavour of what I wanted.
I found the whole experience to be fabulous. Not only did I emerge with a haircut I was pleased with but the whole process - irrespective of who was dealing with me - was seamlessly caring and attentive without being OTT. These people genuinely know how to put you at ease. This is a great set up with an outfit that really combines excellence with great people skills, and you get a fantastic haircut into the bargain. All in all a fantastic experience, and I'm delighted to declare myself a loyal W&M customer from now on.

I hadn't had my hair cut for nearly a year, so it was in a bit of a state. I went to W&M on the recommendation of my boyfriend, who is loyal to Simon there, but I got mine cut by Michael. He was lovely - really put me at ease, talked through some different options for my hair (I was being indecisive) and was friendly and chatty throughout. Will definitely go back!

I went to Windle & Moodie for the first time a few weeks ago after reading the reviews on this site. I had my hair cut by Fran and am delighted with the result. My hair is a bit of a challenge as it has weird kinks and waves in it and I usually spend far too long blow drying it every day to get some style in it. The cut Fran gave me is fantastic - it is easy to look after and I am really pleased with the results. I haven't had a cut this good in years. I can dry it successfully just by using my fingers! I have had lots of compliments. Highly recommend him and the salon.

Windle & Moodie's Mia is the stylist I wish I'd found five years ago - it would have saved a lot of heartache and hair stress. Her scissor skills are a real education to watch, and she's warm and endlessly patient - even in the face of my usual timid change-it-but-don't-change-it style brief! I always leave looking like a better, shinier version of myself. Would recommend her, and the salon (warm staff, minimalist decor softened by good-humoured bowls of candy), to anyone.

Since having my hair cut by Paul so many people have commented on how it's the best cut I have ever had (and let me tell you, I have had a lot of different cuts by a lot of experienced stylists!). Even at work the other day a woman who I have never spoken to before came up to me and said, "You used to have quite long hair, didn't you? I think the new cut looks so good on you. Can I ask where you had that done?". I think that says it all really! Just in the process of booking my next appointment now!

I had my hair cut by Mr Windle today and am thrilled with it. The whole experience at the salon is a very positive one. The staff are friendly and attentive, Mr Windle is a lovely chap to while away an hour with, and my hair looks great - which is the important thing! This is the second time I've been to the salon, and both times the cut has been brilliant. I was shown what to do to make it look good at home as well. I will definitely make it a regular thing! I highly recommend.

I've been getting my hair cut at Windle & Moodie for about 18 months now and I don't intend to stray any time soon. Sad that my old stylist has left but really happy to have my hair cut by Michael for the first time. He really took his time with my cut and was super friendly. Finished it as a proper 'do' rather than a plain old cut and blow dry too.
Thoroughly recommend this salon, the staff are really talented and friendly. Best haircuts I've had.

I went to Windle & Moodie with a pretty disastrous haircut. I wanted to keep my hair long, but it needed major surgery. Fran was fantastic and gave me the best haircut I think I've ever had. I came out feeling younger. The proof of a fabulous haircut is when it still looks good when you've slept on it! The Sassoon training leads to real expertise in cutting. I can't recommend Fran highly enough and will definitely go back. Lovely ambience too.

Windle & Moodie is definitely the best salon I have experienced. After travelling up and now down the country to find the perfect hairdresser, I've finally found this, in Paul!
I have never really liked having my hair cut as I am always disappointed with the results and I'm probably hard to please. Being quite nervous, Paul was very attentive to me and listened to everything I wanted. I was thrilled with the results and received exactly what I wanted!
The whole experience was worth every penny and the time spent travelling from Manchester to London especially to go to this salon.

Paul did a great job of cutting my rather limp, lank hair and making it fabulous again. Great advice about how to maintain it too.

Michael did a really great job with my hair cut. I wanted something bold and new, although was a little bit hesitant to do a bold chop. But he reassured me it was going to be good and I'm really, really delighted with the result. Definitely recommend it!

Mia, one of the stylists at Windle, was recommended to me by a friend in the music business. I can't speakly highly enough about her, she is quite simply the best hairdresser I've ever been to. What Mia doesn't know about cutting men's hair, I'm pretty sure isn't worth knowing. She's great fun too.

Just moved to London from Miami. I've been cutting my hair with the same guy for almost 20 years, so needless to say I was nervous about switching to someone new. I ended up choosing Michael. He was so GREAT. Very patient, explained everything, and did an amazing job. It's arguably the best haircut I've ever gotten. Michael is fantastic!

Windle & Moodie is a stylish and luxurious haven tucked away in the heart of bustling Covent Garden. The salon is modern and sophisticated whilst still retaining plenty of quirky personality. The staff made me feel very welcome from the moment I stepped inside.
Fran was my stylist, and from our initial consultation I instantly trusted him - he not only listened to what I wanted but talked over how best to achieve the look I was after. The expert way in which Fran handled my hair made me feel extremely confident in him, and my initial nervousness about getting a new fringe quickly ebbed away with each snip!
When it came to drying and styling my hair, instead of piling on serums, mousses and waxes, Fran concentrated on using his exceptional skills as a stylist to simply blowdry my hair to perfection. I have always wondered how celebrities get their hair to look so perfect without being overdone - well, they must come to places like this!
A week on and I'm still getting compliments every day. The cut is better than I could have imagined because Fran didn't just copy a hairstyle for me, he adapted a hairstyle to suit me. I'll certainly be back!

Had my hair cut by Paul and let's just say, I saw movement in my hair that I did not think even existed! I have naturally wavy hair that borders on straight (due to its length, it is mostly straight), but Paul managed to bring out natural curls so that I ended up with that much coveted beach wave hair. The products he recommended also worked.

Having spent what seems like a lifelong mission looking for a good hairdressers, I expanded my search to London and eventually came across Windle & Moodie as a result of Urbanpath.
It really is worth a visit. I have just come back with the best ever re-style from Jean Marc. He spent some time talking through the options for my particular type of hair and I felt relaxed and confident as he began to create my new short Judi Dench-type style (something I have always wanted but never quite had the courage to go for). He has a lovely calm manner, doesn't chat non-stop about inane rubbish and is clearly passionate about his work. Half-way through I suddenly realised that I wasn't clenching my hands and gritting my teeth, as I usually do, in fear of yet another one of those impossible creations that only last up until the first wash! Jean Marc clearly understood the look I wanted but, at the same time, wasn't prepared to do something that wouldn't suit me. For once I haven't had to dash home and wash the wax/gel or any other product out of my hair because he didn't use any - and that surely has to be the sign of a good cut.
Jean Marc is an artist, in my opinion, and my search is at last over... (It only took 41 years!!)

Mia is fantastic. She always listens, makes great suggestions, and every time I leave with a great cut. I couldn't be happier.

I have never really had a regular hairdresser as I've always been slightly disappointed with the results. I have been going along to Windle & Moodie since the beginning of the year to have my hair cut by Tara and I couldn't be happier with it. I never thought I could grow my hair long but I really think her expertise has helped me achieve this (thanks!). The salon is very relaxed and welcoming and I hope to continue to go there for many years!
