Abel and Cole

The meat was very tasteless and not very tender, the apples were tasteless, the bread was not much good either. I could have got this all at my local supermarket, including the same brand of fruit juice. It's just a supermarket on wheels - why bother?

Really gone down hill in the last 8 months. Now using Riverford Farm, where the veg is superb and they have just started meat boxes.

The service used to be great and I was very pleased with them. However, I am now going to stop my orders. In the last 2 months I have received rotten fruit on a regular basis and my last order arrived 2 days late. After 2 days of travelling in their vans my fruit and veg looked disgusting... not that I could complain, since their driver left the box at my doorstep and left without knocking. Give it a miss, that's all I can say!

The food quality and service is good but be warned, their ordering system is a bit misleading. If you order a veg box you can identify things as 'not liked' or 'very much liked'. You won't get given something you said you don't like in your veg box, but you'd think they'd replace it with something you really like. Instead they just replace it with whatever's most convenient for them.

I am so pleased that I started this service, on my friend's recommendation. The fruit and veg are very fresh and tasty. At first I thought it was pricey but since checking back at the supermarket the pricing seems fair. Also I love the fact that there's little packaging and they recycle the boxes. Only shock was the carrots were covered in mud - my kids didn't realise they came out of the ground!

Shame the quality seems to have gone downhill from how it was 12 months ago.

I've always found Abel and Cole good. Occasionally the produce has been a little bit limp, but they've always been quick to rectify this.The delivery service is excellent.

I have tried a number of organic delivery services and Abel and Cole are the best. Great fresh produce and an ethical buying policy. The are also in many cases better value than buying the organic vegetables from the supermarket.

I've used Abel & Cole for a few years now. I would agree that the quality isn't quite what it was a while ago.

Some things are being delivered unripe with the expectation that they can ripen indoors - in fact what has happened sometimes is that the fruit simply goes mouldy and bypasses the ripe stage. This isn't happening all the time but I am considering trying another supplier. A shame because they used to be excellent, and I do like the fact that I can specify what I dislike so it doesn't end up in my delivery.

They used to be great but the service has gone downhill of late. Twice in the last 2 months we've had missed deliveries. Why do expanding companies always get worse?

I have been using the lovely A&C for over a year. Consistently great quality and the most amazing service. If anything is slightly less than you would expect they credit for the value without question. I love them.

Very poor quality! Limp carrots, mango gone off, potatoes started sprouting within 2 days and how we're supposed to feed 6 adults on the amount delivered is beyond us even though A&C recommended the box size. Well it didn't even come close, 3 days max!

Almost too good to be true. The quality of produce is head and shoulders above the supermarket organic ranges, and yet it actually works out slightly cheaper. Fantastic.

We have had deliveries from Abel and Cole for 9 months now. The constant tastiness and freshness of produce is great - especially during the winter (when the choice is small). The only trouble is that you can eat too much fruit and veg!

Gotta admit... these guys really do deliver. Good food to the doorstep. No complaints.
