Ocado reviews
Good, fresh food and polite delivery drivers. Fast to sort out problems - one of my items was ruined as the package came open and I was refunded immediately. I have used other supermarket deliveries and find Ocado to be consistently the best.

Why are all their delivery drivers now Polish? I live in Surrey and every time I've ordered from Ocado, the delivery driver is Polish and has been very difficult to converse with and understand. They are definitely letting standards slip.

I've been using Ocado about once a month for over a year. In that time there have been hardly any substitutions (when I rejected them once or twice they gave me the items for free). I have had horrendous problems with Tesco's delivery service in the past but I've found Ocado stress-free.
I've just had a Christmas delivery for them for the second year running, no problems. The only difference is this year it is evidently more popular as I had no choice but to book that slot quite far in advance.

I have also had various other home delivery services but Ocado are the best. They are considerate and ring if they are going to be late but mostly they're early. If it's a late night delivery the food is always good, not damaged and they have polite, friendly delivery men.

Unbelievable how bad the service has been, and we have given them more than a few chances now. We have had several very late deliveries - ie more than 2 hours after the required delivery slot. When we decided that past 11pm is too late to receive our shopping we are told that it is down to us to call the next day and re-arrange delivery. Then there is no priority given to us so we have had to wait another 2 days before getting this delivery. This happened AT LEAST 3 times. To add insult to injury one time the delivery didn't turn up at all and we were then chased for payment for weeks afterwards, despite replying to their emails and calling to inform them what had happened and ask them to stop chasing us to pay for a delivery that we never received.
Some months later we decided to give them another try and received one good delivery within the time slot. Ordered again and guess what? Delivery over 2 hours late and no-one has yet replied to our email sent 5 days ago to request a re-delivery. They are still advertising like mad but clearly cannot even cope with their existing customer base.

Delivery over 2 hours late and no-one has yet replied to our email sent 5 days ago to request a re-delivery. Excellent service and the produce is always fresh and top quality. Definitely worth paying a little bit more. If they are running late they always call.
They have an excellent compensation procedure and the customer service staff and drivers are helpful and understanding. I often get free food samples of new products and substitutes (albeit rare) are always cheaper or the same value. Their website is simple to understand and they have an excellent choice of items. I would highly recommend their service.

I've used two other major supermarket home delivery services and found Ocado to be vastly superior - both in terms of produce and service. Their website is quick and easy to use - and the customer service is exceptional. The drivers are friendly, helpful and on time (if they're running early or late, they always phone); substitutions in your order are rare; produce is always fresh and in excellent condition. I've had one order cancelled because of a systems failure, but I was notified well in advance and received £25 off my next shop. Can't say fairer than that!

They had a warehouse systems failure at Xmas and nearly all their cutomers got either nothing or substituted goods... What a fiasco.
