Charlotte Street reviews
The frontage of the Charlotte Street Hotel beautifies the street it is on. The room in which the bar and restaurant are located is gorgeous and airy. However, the wait staff entirely negate all of the positives. They are dismissive, greet you poorly (if at all) and basically make you feel like you're an imposition in their own private space. Bar staff are quite helpful and pleasant and the food is nice. I really want to patronise this beautiful place, but after each visit I wonder why I keep trying.
by Pauly C (5 reviews), 27 Apr 2008Went there a while ago. Don't mind paying for expensive drinks, but this place is ridiculous! Atmosphere was lacking - couples and old men. Better off going to pub across the road, where you meet lovely media types.
by sj27, 19 Jun 2007I love this bar and have been a regular for a couple of years now. I know most of the bar staff as they're all really friendly and will chat to you. The cocktails are exquisite and expertly made. Unpretentious, beautiful and relaxed decor, lovely bathrooms. Very grown up with a chilled vibe.
